Since making its return earlier this year, Ewing Athletics is back to being one of the biggest names in footwear. Not to be outdone in the Fall season, the Ewing brand is releasing a new collection. Consisting of three pairs of shoes, the collection sees two colorways of the Ewing Guard in Blue and a new colorway, dubbed “Mustard.” Also in the pack is a White/Gum Ewing 33 Hi, a new colorway for the model. Stussy is back to bring more deliverables to its premium Stussy Deluxe brand for the Fall season. Consisting of a mixture of street, outdoors and sport-inspired styles, the collection largely features an earthy color palette covering a range of warm tops from baseball and varsity jackets to hoodies, shirts and vests. For the upcoming Fall/Winter season, Vans is dropping off some solid new arrivals. This range brings us a Vans Era, Authentic, and two Sk8-Hi models. The Vans Authentic features a “Cali Tribe” all-over print while the Era contrastingly receives a Dress Blue motif, split between suede and canvas material. Storied English department store Liberty London collaborates to bring us the Liberty x Vans Sk8-Hi boasting panels reminiscent of stained glass in combination with blue suede and red leather detailing while the opposing Sk8-Hi model sees a Dark Olive colorway with “Inca” covering the side panels, locked in by bright orange leather detailing.

This week, Nike is hitting us with a nice duo of releases in the form of the Nike Dunk PRM Hi SP “Acorn” & “Linen.” The “Acorn” colorway is derivative of a 2002 Nike Air Force 1 release, but is reapportioned very nicely to the Nike Dunk body. High quality leather and tweed woven side panels make this pair stand out even when draped in its neutral Brown tones. The “Linen” model, also a Nike Air Force 1 remake, sees a premium leather upper, backed by white laces and matching white leather lining. Pink covering the Nike Swoosh branding and outsole provide flavor, with Zoom Air insoles providing comfort.

After already being unveiled earlier this year in a couple of Orlando Magic colorways, the signature shoe of legendary big man Shquille O’Neill’s is back in an all new colorway. Commemorating the time that Shaq spent with the Phoenix Suns, the “Big Shaqtus” is delivered in a classic purple, black and orange colorway. The first layer of the retro-inspired sneaker sees Reebok‘s classic stripes in orange with soft purple layer on the rest of the outline. Equipped with Reebok’s signature pump technology and Hexalite cushioning, the shoe is finished off with cactus embroidery at the heel. Keep your eyes peeled for these releasing at Wish soon.
What seems to be responsible for the success of the Air Jordan Retro models even more than the specific model, is the colorway displayed on each pair, and the classic “Bred” colorway is perhaps the most popular. The next iteration of this colorway comes in the form of a new Air Jordan 1 Retro ’95 TXT. Borrowing elements from the Air Jordan Retro 11 “Bred”, this model features a heavy mesh black upper, patent leather toe, and and a white midsole with red outsole to complete the look. With the upcoming wave of footwear hitting shelves for the upcoming Fall/Winter season, adidas Originals is not to be outdone, releasing several new strong models in the Matchplay and Rivalry Hi families. The adidas Originals Matchplay relies heavily on animal print to adorn these releases, seeing both Leopard and a zig-zag Zebra print patterns covering a pony hair upper. For the Rivalry Hi, adidas pulls from a range of different colors to construct the trio of sneakers which includes a Black/White model that closely assembles the mastermind Japan collaboration that relased earlier this year.
The adidas Originals ZX700, a great multifunctional long-distance runner, returns for Fall/Winter 2013 in Deep Petrol/Chrome/Steel. Keeping the upcoming harsh winter weather in mind, adidas substituted the usual mesh with ripstop materials. The sneakers see vibrant blue on the suede, while a complimentary navy suede is subtly placed. Bright orange accents can be seen throughout the trainer to give it additional pop.
Nike Sportswear’s resurgence in the trainer arena is good news for the Deion Sanders signature training line that has been receiving a good bit of shine from Nike over the past few years. Deion Sanders’ first Max-cushioned shoe makes its return this weekend in two familiar styles. The first being the OG Black/White colorway with hits of Gold throughout, the second, a flip on the Red/White color combination. Years after the iconic 90’s sitcom called it quits, Jordan Brand drops a commemorative “Bel Air” model. The choice of the Air Jordan 5 model was a no-brainer, having Will Smith memorably sporting the famous silhouette in the opening credits of the show. Featuring a range of pastel hits jumping straight off the grey and black upper that rivals the aesthetic of the Fresh Prince himself, these sneakers even include Jordan’s number embroidered on the lateral sides of the heels. To commemorate the 25th Anniversary of the legendary Madden NFL video game series, Nike and EA Sports have collaborated to put together a special package. The main feature of this collab is the Nike Air Trainer Max 2 ’94 “Madden NFL.” This co-branded kick sees a nubuck upper featuring two shades of grey set against black and white details. A glow-in-the-dark green outsole and a holographic effect swoosh add the finishing touches to this awesome look. Also available with the pack is a special snapback from the two brands featuring a reflective front panel and a holographic Nike Swoosh logo, mimicking the shoes to a tee.

From styling, photography and film-making to clubbing and art direction, Marcelo Burlon has effectively established himself as a one-man venture. However, Marcelo Burlon has recently found success in his latest venture, a well-received fashion line. The Argentinian designer infuses each of his designs with bold motifs and visuals that combine an plethora of Burlon’s own experiences and influences.
Printed on graphic tees and crewnecks, the Marcelo Burlon fashion imprint serves as the equivilant of a blank canvas. Any one piece features a plethora of graphics designed by Giorgio Di Salvo and boasts a range of Argentinian feathers, esoteric symbols and nods to various cultural influences. For Fall/Winter 2013 we highlighted a few of the pieces through an editorial shot by Mae Elizabeth Gurene including the Scuba Felpa Tecnica Pullover, Aguila Tee, Olga Sun Tee, and the Shemesh Tee.
Initially started as a project in 2012 to create rosaries dedicated to her life spent on both the East and West Coast, Nicole De La Pax Alvarez’s brand Botánica is now making a name for itself in streetwear. It’s undeiable that streetwear is largely inspired by the surroundings of the individuals that create it. And in Alverez’s case it is no different. The Cuban Link represents her upbringing in New York and the Herringbone represents her time in Los Angeles, therefore, giving us high-quality and unique Right & Left Coast Rosaries. Although heavily inspired by stores in the Latin Community, the brand is not affiliated with any particular religion and has been spotted on the likes of West Coaster Kendrick Lamar and East Coaster Lebron James.
For what has already been a great season for the Nike Air Max model, Nike is adding to the fun with the release of two new unique Air Max styles. All under the Tape build, each of these shoes has its own hidden super power. The Nike Air Max 1 Premium Tape “Glow in the Dark” features a white upper of seam-taped material with lab green hits on the tongue, visible Max Air unit and outsole, and to top it off, the shoes see a glow-in-the-dark tiger stripe motif applied throughout the entirety of the upper. Also containing a hidden feature is the Nike Air Max 90 Premium Tape with Zebra pattern running along the sides of the white tape upper and also featuring 3M Reflective tape throughout.
Set to join the Opening Ceremony x adidas Originals 2013 Fall/Winter “BBALL” Collection that released recently, the collaborative duo is back to release some basketball-esque pieces for the upcoming Fall season. Matching well with the BBALL Collection sneakers, the range features a pair of unique paisley laden shorts featuring a tear-away zipper and velcro along with a matching Green thermal logo shirt to round out the dellivery.
Staple keeps it going delivering more styles from its 2013 Fall Collection. Again featuring pieces with a consistent nature theme, Staple continues to feature a range of premium materials to comprise the collection. Staple does however take the opportunity to showcase a few new Aztec and Floral patterns among the rest of the range.
Streetwear heavyweight Hall of Fame is back with some solid new Fall 2013 offerings. The Los Angeles brand puts together a nice range of light to heavy pieces to accommodate for the cooler weather.
