The African American flag is an artistic evolution of Marcus Garvey’s red, black and green Pan-African flag. Near Jamaica Queens, where Tremaine Emory aka Denim Tears grew up, these colors cover the Liberty Rock monument, symbolizing the civil rights, group identity, and experience of African Americans. For Emory, the flag represents a distinct moment of personal discovery and a belief that Black artists, their points of view, their experience and their creative expression should be celebrated. On this limited-edition Chuck 70, Tremaine Emory translates the African American flag to an American classic.
To execute Emory’s vision and celebrate an America that includes and champions the voices, identities and ambitions of young Black creatives, Converse and Denim Tears have enlisted For Freedoms with Hank Willis Thomas, an artist collective that models and aims to increase civic joy, discourse and direct action – to release a new campaign dubbed “The Future is Yours. Vote.”
More than 35 years after its debut, the Air Jordan 1 still stands as a timeless and versatile design- but that doesn’t mean it’s done evolving. This ladies-only edition pairs the silhouette with Zoom Air tech while also imbuing the model with subtle details that pay homage to sisterhood and the intertwined concepts of strength and beauty.
On the inside, Zoom Air sits under the sock-liner for extra comfort and response, while foam lining inside both the tongue and collar provide additional cushioning. On the outside, buttery leather combines with hearty metallic studs to create a rugged exterior that’s still soft to the touch. While the AJ 1 Mid, in contrast, is adorned with thick interwoven laces seen on the sides and heels. Finally, vivid shades of hyper royal blend with black and white accents to create a crisp take on a classic color palette.
Ladies! Be sure to grab a pair when they release at Wish ATL Thursday, October 15!

Converse & Samuel Ross‘s A-COLD-WALL* have collaborated for a technical capsule collection of footwear and apparel. This collection was initially previewed in June 2019 during ACW’s SS20 runway during London Fashion Week, displaying reconstructions of the Chuck Taylor All-Star Lugged and ERX.
According to Converse, the collection’s ethos was based around one simple question: “how does a collaboration relay intent?” Samuel Ross’ intent was clearly to further ACW’s signature look, asymmetrical detailing, compelling material choices and a muted color palette that insures focus on the design rather than the color palate.
The Chuck Taylor All Star Lugged is a weatherized version of the classic Chuck, and Ross’s take on it toes the line between sneaker and boot with a thick rubber outsole and toe bumper plus overlays that rise up onto the woven ripstop upper. An inner bootie provides warmth and lockdown, while ACW and Converse branding is placed on each piece. Elsewhere, the ERX looks to its basketball heritage with a full patinated suede build, a large collar strap and a stripped-back lacing system. This simple-yet-effective upper rests atop an icy blue midsole to finalize the style. Rounding off the offerings are two tracksuits, one with a traditional basketball cut and one with more asymmetrical detailing that’s sure to please ACW purists.

The Jordan 5 is just as popular now as it was three decades ago, but the grape colorway stand solo as the only look that strays away from a team-oriented color scheme. Since the integration of purple in the Jordan 5, we’ve seen it in various way in the past, but never like this.

This uber-popular colorway of the Air Jordan 13 was originally released in 1998 and then re-released twice in 2005 and 2010. Back in 2017, it was rumored to re-release once again, but the retro never happened. This will be the fourth time the beloved “Flint” Air Jordan 13 has been released.
In Jordan’s final playoff series in 1998, Jordan’s ability to close solidified his GOAT status as the Bull’s became the first team to three-peat on two separate occasions. The Jordan 13 inspired by Mike’s spirit animal, the black panther, were his primary kicks in his last season with the Chicago Bulls.
The “Flint Grey” color-way was one of the first releases of the silhouette. This release aims to get as close to the original as possible with everything from some minor details to the box itself. This iteration, like the OG’s, comes with 3M reflective uppers and a shade of blue on the vamp meticulously matched to the navy tone of the throwback version. This 13 also brings back the molded sock-liner from the original model for the game-ready fit & feel.
