However, Marcelo Burlon has recently found success in his latest venture, a well-received fashion line. The Argentinian designer infuses each of his designs with bold motifs and visuals that combine an plethora of Burlon’s own experiences and influences.
Printed on graphic tees and crewnecks, the Marcelo Burlon fashion imprint serves as the equivilant of a blank canvas. Any one piece features a plethora of graphics designed by Giorgio Di Salvo and boasts a range of Argentinian feathers, esoteric symbols and nods to various cultural influences. After successfully collaborating with both Black Scale and Been Trill, SSUR’s Russ Karablin enlists another heavyweight for his more recent collaboration. This time, one of the most recognizable street artists in streetwear, Futura, brings his signature handwritten style to a full capsule with the New York brand. Building mass anticipation since preview images hit the internet earlier this year, two of the tees from this collection are now available at Wish. Tinker Hatfield made history in 1987 with the release of the very first Air Max 1 to the footwear industry. Coinciding with the shoe’s adoption, ’87 also marked the same year Tinker Hatfield and Mark Parker would create the infamous, and at the time unorthodox, Nike Air Safari. The Wish Safari Tee collection pays homage to the iconic design and pattern. Revisiting the traditional color palette, the shirt gives nod to the retro Air Safari shoe and its original construction.
