Today was the last full work day of our good friend and (now) former coworker, Pro. Kyle, otherwise known as Pro, has been working with us here at the shop for almost 3-years now and has been a staple around the shop. If you’ve ever swung by on busy Saturday or even a slow mid-week day, you’ve most likely run into him carrying some boxes or helping out some customers. The good friends Mike and the Mickey’s Bistro Crew were cool enough to bring by some cupcakes to give him a solid farewell. We’re definitely going to miss having Pro around, but, we’re stoked about seeing him progress and grow over the years to come. Take care homie and good luck from the Wish family!
Maui Woweee! In preparation for Summer ’11, we’re releasing a special Wish “Maui” tee. A spin on the Wish logo, we took the branding and draped it in a colorful hawaiin print floral. Whether you’re on the lake, at the beach or just straight chilling in the city this tee will look good.
Each tee retails for $28 and comes with a limited edition Wish “Maui” die-cut sticker as a hang tag. The production on these was limited and once these colorways are gone, they’re gone for good. Pick them up now at our Moreland Ave. shop or over at our online web store.
As the night before the Year of the Rabbit’s comes upon us, the campers have already started to gather. Actually, to be fair… they started yesterday. After 24 hours, they’re still holding it down complete with boxed pizza and a cooler full of beer…… soda. It should go without saying, but, the shoes are dropping tomorrow and are being anxiously awaited by many. We’ll be opening up regular store hours at 12:00noon. Can you kick it? Yes you can.
In honor of summer and coolness in general, we’ve worked up a nice Summer ’11 piece in the form of a 5-Panel Camp style hat. Comprised of black nylon ripstop material, the hat features a custom embroidered patch on the front that gives nod to our Moreland store’s historic roots. The hat features an adjustable snapback enclosure on the back. Retailoing for $28, the quantities are limited. You can pick it up now from our online shop or in-store from our Moreland Ave. location!
Check out the video above that we filmed with the help of our good friend Drew and our store manager Kim. Just a day in the life….
Our lead buyer and close friend, Frank Cookesat down and picked out give of his top pieces (right now, atleast). Most of it centered around the recent Rocksmith x Wu-Tang Collection with a nice pair of denim thrown in the mix. Check out below to see what Frank had to say about everything:
“This collection is just one of my absolute favorites. Growing up listening to Wu-Tang, this collection captures that nostalgic feel that is hard to come by these days. With the 36 Chambers Album cover tee you just can’t go wrong with this classic piece. Following up with the purple tape tee is my next personal favorite which is sure to break necks; so protect yours and go cop.“
Frank dropped his 6 favorite Wu-Tang albums on us as well. What’s your favorite Wu-Tang album?
We were recently highlighted on the Complex.com blog for their piece, “Shelf Space”. Lead buyer, Frank Cooke, took some time out to pick his 10 favorite shoes on the floor right now. Head over to Complex and check it out!

Boasting 4 different colorways, Undefeated teamed up with Puma for a round of their Clyde silhouette for an April 10, 2011 release. Branded the “Stripe off” pack, Undefeated took the classic Clyde silhouette and cleaned it up with a removal of the Puma stripe along the outside upper. Additionally, they also mocked up every colorway in a premium, soft-leather upper. These ultra-clean kicks are available in black, white, grey and forest green. Retailing for $110 each and slated for an April 10, 2011 release, you can pick these up for a limited time from Wish and WishATL.com. Follow the jump for some dope product shots!
We’ve been taking guesses around the shop as to how much money The Hundreds drops on stickers every season, and we’ve settled on an approximate answer: “A LOT”. They always hold us down with free swag and other stickers so we wanted to pay it forward and pass on the goodness. For a limited time and while sticker supplies last, you can get some free The Hundreds stickers in every online order of The Hundreds merchandise from WishATL.com.
We’re not talking cheap stickers either. These are the real deal. Die Cut, heavy stock, transparent background. These are those type of stickers that are… as we like to call them, “laptop worthy”. Swag up on your MacBook Pro with the latest stickers from The Hundreds… only from Wish!
The inspiration for Publish’s debut season, as it will continue to be every season, is quintessential jazz album. For Spring 2011, we revisit a Blue Note classic: Jeremy Steig’s “Wayfaring Strangers.” We felt it to be an appropriate pairing, as Publish is (as of now) essentially a stranger to you and to the consumer.
But as we all know, there are no strangers in the realm of Jazz. With this season’s offering, we are inviting you to be a part of our family. We are extending to you a series of garments that we take great pride in. Garments that are, like Jazz, timeless and classic. Casual yet sophisticated. We aspire to believe that our clothing, like a string or horn section, is improvised and poetic. Through our art and innovation, we hope to tell a story.
In just about 2 hours, Wale himself will be dropping by our Moreland Ave. shop to hand out free tickets to his Tabernacle, Atlanta, GA show tonight. No… we did not stutter….free tickets to tonights show. From Wale. Free. He’ll also be kicking it for a little while with whoever wants to stop by and chop it up. Don’t miss this. Take your lunch break. Call your ride. Step onto MARTA… do whatever you have to do to be here at 3:00PM today.
Well, we’re back from an awesome trip to NYC for Agenda and Capsule Trade Shows. We saw so many amazing things in the Big Apple that we are inspired from and ready to bring to Atlanta. Although we spent most of the days grinding out meetings at the trade shows, we also had some time to stop through all of the boutiques and other retailers in the city. We’ll be keeping you guys updated with the happenings of Wish on a more regular basis. Also, we’ll be posting live from Las Vegas in February as we head to MAGIC trade show. All we can say is, look forward to 2011… it’s going to be a big year for fashion and we want you to stay up on it first.
Follow the jump for some photos from the few days up north!
Balenciaga Showroom… hidden gem.
We spotted the Cookies & Cream: New York City truck cruising.
It seemed like almost everywhere we went in Manhattan, there was a really strong precense of people in uniform. You can’t help but be greatful just seeing it in person and knowing what these guys put themselves through everyday. Awesome.
Converse Store So-Ho. You may have seen pictures of this shop floating around the net…it does not do it justice. The wall is American Flag themed, but in All Converse All-Stars. Perfectly organized. Dope!
You’ve seen the pictures, but it’s nothing like actually being in Times Sqaure and looking up. Needless to say, we weren’t the only people taking pictures… cue lady with full-on Camera tripod buttom right.
On the way back from Laguaria Airport, we coincidentally happened to be waiting on our flight at the same gate they were installing iPads at every booth. The smarter-than-you tech guy gave us the whole run-down on the new iPad x Delta colab (lol) as he was installing it for us. You can order food straight from the iPad and the restaurant down the way will bring it straight to your seat while you wait…. another thing we can’t live without.
Also notable at Laguardia was the built-in USB plugs in the outlets….. another thing we can’t live without.
Well, we headed out of Hartsfield airport bright and early this morning on a flight straight for New York for the 2011 Agenda Show in Manhattan. The flight up was coooool… there was plenty of snow elsewhere across these united states. We spent a solid day hitting up some of the best retail shops and destination’s that the Big Apple has to offer:
They’ve got plenty of snow in NY….but they also have the trucks to clean it up…
You know we had to find a nice little spot to sit down and get some sustenance. We came across this chill little spot, “Cafe Mercato”. It’s a 24-hour buffett with everything you could possibly thing of. A dub well spent.
We’re staying in one of the dopest hotels in New York called Ace Hotel. Check it out.
Vintage fridge with overpriced beverages, alcoholic and non-alcoholicfully stocked fridge.
They would provide us with the finest in hair care products… a day after I buzzed my hair off.
The necessities….
Hipster Hotel Keycard…check.
Hipster record player… check.
With a little bit of gold and a Blackberry…somewhere.
It was a dope day in the big city for sure… but, you know it’s all about progression!Straight back to the grind on the hotel wi-fi. See you tomorrow!
