Coming Soon: adidas Originals by mastermind JAPAN 2013 Summer Collection

mastermind JAPAN has often found a welcome canvas in a wide assortment of adidas Originals pieces. For Spring/Summer 2013, the celebrated Japanese street label re-aligns with adidas Originals for a footwear collection. Employing the Superstar 80s, Rivalry Hi, and the Pro Model CF, each of the shoes is treated in a butter full grain leather upper and positioned atop a white outsole. Perforations and textured midsole sections define much of the design white tonal laces, contrasting foiled mastermind JAPAN branding and white mastermind lace caps finish things off. The adidas Originals by mastermind JAPAN 2013 summer collection will be available soon for a limited time in extremely small quantities.

A Bathing Ape x UNDFTD x adidas Consortium Collab Midnight Release

Originally unearthed back in the fall of 2012, the A Bathing Ape x UNDFTD x adidas Consortium collaboration is finally set to see the light of day as a part of BAPE‘s 20th anniversary celebration. Featuring the ZX 5000 alongside two colorways of the Campus 80s, the kicks see details like BAPE’s 1ST CAMO motif, metallic gold logos and premium materials throughout. We will have this exclusive collab releasing Saturday 4.27.13 at midnight online only. The release process will continue normally after that with the store opening at noon and phone orders being accepted after 5 p.m. on the day of the release. What do you think about this release?

With so much anticipation built around the Ewing 33 Hi launch, there is another great release that should not be overlooked. adidas Originals presents the Conductor Hi “Knicks”. The same silhouette worn by the man himself, Patrick Ewing, the hi-top is predominately white with royal blue and orange accents. Retailing for $90, the Conductor Hi is now available in limited quantities from our Moreland Ave. shop and our online shop here.

Jeremy Scott is back this Summer with two new releases in conjunction with adidas Originals. Introducing the JS Flower Power Bear and JS Fleece Wings for Summer ’12. Slated for a release date of August 4th, both styles will be available in-store and through our online shop. The JS Flower Power Bear will be retailing for $200, the JS Fleece Wings for $200. You can pick them up from our Moreland Ave. shop on the day of the release, 8/4/12, or at midnight of 8/4/12 in our online shop.

We will not be accepting any pre-orders, holds, nor phone orders or email orders before the day of the release.

So to celebrate the Games, the New York department store Opening Ceremony linked up with Adidas Originals to create a premium capsule collection inspired by the sports brand’s iconic silhouettes. adidas ‘Your Story’ – Consortium SS12

For all the creative art loving sneaker fans, we’ve go a treat for you.


Creative Director of Happy Socks,
Viktor Tell, teams up with adidas
Originals to create his own fun
version of the Matchplay. From the
outside the silhouette looks low
key with its mostly white canvas
upper, but it’s the small glimpses
of detail on the heel tab, ankle
padding and inside the shoe that
tell both the Olympic and Happy
Socks stories.

The Stockholm native took
inspiration from a Swedish air
pistol champion, and this
is achieved along the 3-stripes
with bullet hole inspired dots.
On one of the sockliners is a
Trefoil target marked LUFTPISTOL
(air pistol) and the other features
a lid for bullets. The ankle
padding and underside of the
tongue feature more brightly
coloured dots that make it
characteristically Happy Socks.

Perhaps one of boldest
interpretations for Consortium
SS 12 and one with some
serious attitude is the Pro Shell
by Kara Messina, London designer
and creative director of men’s
streetwear label Y’OH. There’s
a strong synergy with Messina
and the Pro Shell model; each
has carved their own place
in streetwear history.


Most of the upper is made
of engineered fabric with
a traditional African print in
leopard colours, and for Messina
this conjures thoughts of
competitiveness and the multi
cultural presence in both
Olympics and everyday London
life. The print continues through
to the laces and velcro strap, while
the rubber toebox and supersoft
leather heel patch and side panel
tone it down slightly in black.

adidas ‘Your Story’ – Consortium SS12

When adidas Originals brought Consortium back for FW11, the slate was wiped clean giving a fresh start
to the premium range. It also paved the way for the next collection as they invited nine creative partners
to fill in the canvas.

Kate Moross is a London based creative whose love of all things geometric has earned her a solid reputation in the design industry. Her distinctive style has her partnering up adidas Originals to interpret the BC, paying homage to the Olympics in her own graphic way. The predominately grey suede upper features reflective triangles all over, some of them referencing the Olympic colorway, which pop when the light hits the surface. The grey mid sole anchors the look, as do the grey laces, although this version of the BC also comes with a bonus pack containing a selection of bright laces with alternating aglet colors. A bright green fabric loop tag on the heel tab and red one on the tongue featuring Kate Moross’s logo complete this
quirky shoe.

DJ Muro has partnered up with adidas Originals to create a bold and, as he describes it, ‘aggressive’ version of the Pro Shell with its strong and deep color choices of dark green, black and pops of red. Overall, Muro’s Pro Shell is understated, but bursts of detail are found throughout, like the jersey material covering the ankle padding that features engineered stripes reminiscent of a track top’s cuff. Additionally, Muro’s modus operandi, or M.O., can be found on the laces and a snakeskin effect is used on the 3-stripes and unfastening of the Velcro reveals bright colors underneath.

The BC retails for $110 USD, and the Pro Shell for $130 USD. Both styles will be available in-store at our Moreland Avenue shop starting May 19th. Phone orders will be welcome on all styles after 5:00PM EST on the day of the release by calling 404.880.0402 ext #2.

Adidas x Ransom Army TR Mid – Available Now

Here is another collabo from Adidas x Ransom Holding Co. which gained it’s inspiration from the BW Adidas silhoutte this shoe is part of their Fall/Winter 2011 Line. The shoe is coming to you in two neutral colors which are a tan blend and also a green blend which feature a blend of mostly suede with a white sole and white leather toe cap. The Adidas x Ransom Army Tr Mids are available now for a retail of $140 USD in-store at our Moreland Ave. location as well as our online-store.

As we gear up for the anticipated “My adidas” collection launch, we preview a closer look into the Superstar 80s iteration that accompanies the iconic apparel program. Mocked up in a premium white leather with contrasting black and red leather accents, the Superstar 80s purely embodies the look and feel of classic adidas meets old school hip-hop. Wait no longer. Or atleast not much longer. The highly anticipated “My adidas” Run DMC Collection from will be arriving in-store and online from Wish beginning tomorrow. Inspired by the legendary Run DMC, the “My adidas” collection pays homage to the legendary artists and song that started it all. The 1986 hit immediately plummeted adidas into the forefront of contemporary culture and the brand has ridden the wave as it has grown over the past two decades.

The collection will be releasing in-store at our regular open time (12:00pm EST) with the Track Jacket, Core Track Pants, DMC White Tee, and Superstar 80s being released at that time. The entire apparel collection will release online at the same time.The collection is priced reasonably at $80 USD for the DMC Track Jacket, $70 USD for the Core Track Pants and $35 USD for the DMC Tee in White. Don’t sleep!

Celebrating the 25th anniversary since legendary Run DMC release their classic, “My adidas”, the artists team up with adidas originals for a limited edition release of the Superstar 80s. The shoes are made up in an all white leather upper with contrasting black three-stripes as well as a unique gold dookie chain embellishment added to the laces. Both the Insole and tongue receive Run DMC branding with other embroidery and imagery lending itselt to the rear heel of the shoe as well as the packaging.

The collection will be releasing in conjunction with a limited edition apparel tier very soon. Stay up for more details as they emerge.

Fully outfitted for the trail, adidas release their latest Torsion NPN Mid. The mostly tonal shoe is set in a khaki colorway and combines a spongy neoprene and leather suede upper. Adidas Campus 80’s “Back to Campus” Collection – 9/9/11

A trifecta of sorts, three well-respected lifestyle boutiques recently worked with iconic, adidas Originals brand to craft their own interpretations of the Campus 80 for a “Back to Campus” pack.  Major in DC, Shoe Biz in San Francisco and Major in DC teamed up for three colorways inspired by campus life and university living.  For Shoe Biz, inspiration was drawn from the tanford colorways and made up in a rough-suede cardinal upper.  Nicely complimentary off-white three stripes complete the silhouette.  Texas’ own, Nice Kicks worked up a “Game Day” colorway in burnt orange inspired by the Lone Star State. Our homies over at Major in DC grabbed color palettes from the Georgetown colorways overlaying a nice navy blue long-haired suede.  

All three colorways will be available starting September 9, 2011, in-store at our Moreland ave. location and online in our online shop.  Retail is set at $88 a piece.
