On the men’s side, Spring ’15 transports us to the coast with enlarged sea anemone and palm frond prints. But a closer look will reveal a few micro surprises: think wetsuit-like seams on overcoats, anoraks featuring zippered mesh inserts, and trousers with discreet neon stripes. It’s the athletic-inspired, blue-and-neon collection fit for escapists. A long-sleeve pullover is embossed with the square Opening Ceremony logo. Includes ribbed elastic at the crewneck, cuffs, and hem.

Presenting the latest addition to the Wish shelves is New York’s, Opening Ceremony. Founded in 2002 by two friends from UC Berkeley, Carol Lim and Humberto leon, as a place to share their passion for travel, art, and passion. Inspired by a trip to Hong Kong, the two decided to leave their jobs in corporate fashion to realize their unique dream. What began as a single store on a quiet street in downtown New York is now a global community in New York, London, and Los Angeles, a department store in Tokyo, a wholesale showroom, an in-house clothing line, a blog, an e-commerce site, a TV channel, and an annual magazine.
For the 2014 Fall Collection, We teamed up with the homie, Raury for a taut arrangement of imagery that highlights various pieces from the range. The central motif of the collection was hands, which appeared in the form of everything from printed trousers to pullovers and lifestyle goods. The collection is now available online and in-store at our Moreland Avenue. You can support Raury on his debut album which drops today and keep up with his projects here.
While previous collections looked to basketball and hiking for inspiration, this latest collection from Opening Ceremony and adidas Originals draws from the world of baseball. The baseball-inspired pieces stick predominantly to a classic color combination of red, white, and blue and includes striped button-down shirts, baseball jerseys, a varsity jacket, and classic sweatshirts and sweatpants. In addition to the apparel, the range also includes accessories and footwear featuring stitching elements more commonly seen on baseballs and baseball gloves.
After already seeing a release from the Opening Ceremony x adidas Originals camp for the Fall/Winter 2013 season in the form of the OC BBALL Collection, the wildly successful collaboration bares yet another brilliant piece. Embodying a more nature-inspired theme than the previous collection, the Opening Ceremony x adidas Originals “Enforcer Rock” holds up to its name with a large, high top body and an oversized tongue displaying the adidas imprint. Suited for outdoor activity, the durable Wheat colored upper sits atop a thick Black sole. With hits of Maroon located on the side panels and upper heel, thick Teal rope laces hold everything together.
For Fall/Winter 2013 Humberto Leon and Carol Lim and their Opening Ceremony imprint have aligned yet again with adidas Originals for a fashion-meets-sport iteration. Perhaps the most fully integrated between the two realms, the collection is being touted as the “BBALL” collection and sees a cheeky all-over print paisley pattern that is crafted from an unconventional Basketball influence. The trio of arrivals from the Top Ten Bball as well as two colorways of the Pro Model Bball. The Pro Model Bball executions see augmented double zippers along the lace vamps as well as patent leather Three Stripes and the customary paisley print.
For Fall/Winter 2013, celebrated outfitter and label, Opening Ceremony has aligned itself with adidas Originals. For the collection, the duo aligned to curate a range of outdoor-inspired pieces that are finished off with a hike-boot style footwear option. From a cut and sew crewneck, two-tone sweater to matching sweat bottoms, the purple and turqoise collection is finished off with the “Rock Moccasin” shoes.
