Nike Lunar Force 1 Low “Easter Hunt” Pack

To celebrate Easter, Nike Sportswear has put together a collection of the Lunar Force 1 Low that combines white Hyperfuse uppers with colorful outsoles. The colorful icy-soled sneakers will be releasing on Saturday, March 30th at Wish. Including six different makeups, these shoes are numbered 1/100, meaning there will be only 100 total pairs hidden amongst the stock of various Nike Sportswear accounts this Saturday. If you’re one of the luck ones to get a pair with the colorful sole, tweet us or instagram it @wishatl. Happy hunting!

Ewing 33 Hi “Jamaica” & “Georgetown”

Original build and colorways are two features that made the Ewing 33 Hi a hit when it returned in retro form. However, Ewing Athletics took things back to its namesake’s roots for the new “Jamaica” and “Georgetown” color schemes. Born in Kingston, Jamaica, it’s only right we see Patrick Ewing’s most famous shoe brought back in a white, black, green, and yellow makeup. A Jamaican flag on the heel counter of the mostly white shoe provides a finishing touch, while the “Georgetown” colorway pays homage to Ewing’s days dominating the paint as a young Hoya center. Navy and grey color interchange through the upper and the midsole to keep the honorary shoe true. Both sneakers release in limited quantities at Wish this Saturday, March 30.

Jonathan Johnson Griffin in store Signing Recap

For those who were at Wish this Saturday, it was obvious that the Lebron X Cork release caused a lot of commotion in the sneaker community. On top of the huge release and the line wrapped around the store, we had the creator of the madness present in store to sign boxes, shoes, and even in-soles. Take a look at some quotes from Jonathan Johnson-Griffin and the images we captured on Saturday below:

Why Cork?

JJG: “We were talking to Lebron and he was saying that he kind of wanted to give it that champagne bang feeling. And it’s based all around the idea of popping bottles… When you hear that champagne bang of the cork popping, you know you won a championship.”

This “champagne bang” aspect of the design is evident in Jonathan’s “Popping Bottles!” signature.

Can you take us through higlights of the design/production process?

JJG: “For me the higlights [of the production process] are sketching and working with the athletes to dive into his life and extract different details that are really rich that we can tell different stories around.”

Malcolm X By Any Means Necessary

We are continuing our celebration of Black History Month by focusing on the legendary icon, Malcolm X with the release of our “By Any Means” collaboration tee with 10 Deep. This tee, which given by its name, was inspired by his famous “By Any Means Necessary” quote given in 1964 during his speech at the Founding Rally of the Organization of Afro-American Unity. Take a look at a clip from the speech below:

Wish x 10.Deep “BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY” Tee

In commemorating the fateful day of Malcolm X’s assassination and a continuation in awareness of  Wish’s ‘Black History Month’, the Atlanta-based retailer offers a new rendition of 10.Deep‘s 2009 Spring Collection T-shirt. A direct homage in its design, the T-shirt displays an enlarged portrait of Malcolm X set in a grey-scale illustration, with the aforementioned brands’ logos adorned in minor detail. Aptly titled “BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY,” the T-shirt will be released online and in store on February 21st.
