Paying tribute to the symbolic relationship between the court and the street, the Jordan Future blends one of the most iconic designs with a one-piece woven upper to create an entirely new look. This past week, we had the opportunity to host Jeff Staple for an evening at the High Museum of Art as well as an exclusive “1-2-1 w/ jeffstaple” interview with B.o.B. Bridging the gap between streetwear culture and the world of fine art, over 150 attendees got the chance to experience an inspiring talk from Jeff in which he spoke on his own personal journey and the concept of impossible. A select few were able to take part in a unique portfolio review session functioning as a quasi-workshop where Jeff counseled budding entreprenuers on the ins and outs of the industry after in depth analysis of their portfolios.
The following day, Jeff Staple held his popular “1-2-1 w/ jeffstaple” interview series with Atlanta’s own B.o.B here at Wish. The two talked about B.o.B’s rise in the industry as well as his next steps in front of a small live audience. The warmer weather requires fewer layers, more colors, and minimal mix of materials. New York City, in particular, demands a dramatic change in dress from previous months, as the scorching sun turns the coolest of cool into puddles of perspiration. The latest “City Pack” makes over two fresh silhouettes for the summertime. Both, the Air Max 90 Ice and the Rosherun NM, draw inspiration from the leisurely lifestyle of New York vacationers. The latest Nike Roshe run NM W SP is inspired by France, with the French Flag adorning the tongue tab and a Blue/Red/White color palette. The upper features the classic Roshe Run silhouette with a reinforced toe cap while a durable IU midsole and natural motion outsole provide lightweight cushioning. Arguably the most notable silhouette from the line, the Ewing 33 Hi is cleaned up into a silky smooth style with its latest colorway, “Burgundy Suede.” Featuring a full suede upper drenched in burgundy and contrasted by white signature branding. The latest shipment from Nike features the Air Force 1 AC PRM Pack, which offers two detailed-oriented sneakers. First up is the white/white-midnight navy colorway that features a special brushed effect over an all-white upper. The Midnight Navy/White-White adopts a sailor-inspired aesthetic with miniature navy anchors emblazoned over a grey upper and is offset by a contrasting white Swoosh. Both uppers rest atop a slimmer vulcanized sole.

The Air Jordan 2 Retro ‘Nightshade’ borrows its elements from the 1986 original, and adds a sharp modern colorway to give it an eye-popping update. A deep Nightshade color has been added to the original embossed leather panels, while the laces, heel panel and midsole feature a darker Ice Black and Pure Platinum. Jordan Brand continues to release more iterations of the Air Jordan 1 sneaker. Dubbed “Nouveau Purple” and “Black Concord”, these releases fall in line with Jordan Brand’s recent string of “Concord” releases. First up is the “Nouveau Purple” constructed with soft nubuck and premium leather just like many of the Nouveau models before it. This model pairs a tonal black upper with a purple outsole, a purple lining, and a contrasting white midsole to bring it all together. The Air Jordan 1 Mid “Black Concord” features an equal balance of both Concord and black, held together with matching black laces while a white and black sole provide cushioning.

Having become widely recognized for his cartoonish visuals, Dutch artist Parra is the mind behind the now cult streetwear label, Rockwell by Parra. Designed from a similar vein as Parra’s artwork, much of the Rockwell by Parra line infuses heavily saturated colors, curved imagery and a plethora of playful and surreal typefaces and letters. The latest Spring/Summer 2014 arrivals from the Dutch brand have just touch down at Wish. The Air Jordan 2 Retro returns yet again in a “Dark Concord” make up. Taking inspirations from some previous iconic models, the Dark Concord colorway consists of Elephant print from the Air Jordan 3 around the mid, Dark Concord from the Air Jordan 11, and the splatter print from the Air Jordan 4 throughout the midsole. Adding to the numerous colorways that have already been released in 2014, this sneaker will be available soon at Wish.
Jordan brand decides to switch up its recent string of Air Jordan 6 Retro releases with a women’s only offering. Subbed the “Turbo Green”, the grade size only sneakers feature the Air Jordan 6′s high top silhouette dominated by black leather.
