The AJ 2 “Rivals” is inspired by the NBA franchises that challenged “His Airness” the most. This is a ladies-exclusive drop that follows the “What The” pattern, with both left and right shoes and their respective panels sporting an assortment of colors and materials. Each pair honors four of the most formidable NBA franchises from the mid-to-late 80s and early 90s. These teams significantly challenged Mike and his Bulls, undoubtedly fueling his winning mentality for future success.
The left shoe, dedicated to the Western Conference, features the team colors of the Los Angeles Lakers and the Portland Trailblazers. Those being the first two teams that challenged MJ and his Bulls in the NBA Finals. The right shoe, for the East, honors both the Boston Celtics and the New York Knicks, two who provided some of the most epic battles in Mike’s career. Lux materials on the silhouette include quilted leather, similar to the Don C, jersey mesh, basketball-textured leather, satin, and patent leather.

The Air Jordan 2 helped cement His Airness’ legacy in the world of footwear. With just Wings branding on the tongue and Nike script on the heel, the simple design by Bruce Kilgore let the premium construction speak for itself. First released in just two color ways and in both high and low cuts, the original Air Jordan 2 first returned in 1994 as part of the first-ever Air Jordan retro run alongside the Air Jordan 1 and Air Jordan 3. Look for the Air Jordan 2 Low ‘Bred’ to release this Saturday, May 21st.
This eye-catching Air Jordan 2 Retro Low pops with an all over Gym Red treatment. Premium leather uppers, eye stay, heel piece, midsole, outsole, and wings logo on the tongue reflect this tonal look. Look for the official launch this Saturday, April 2nd.
The Air Jordan 2 Retro “Wing It” pays tribute to the brand’s ad campaign that coincided with the shoe’s original release in 1986. Look for this retro classic to drop this Saturday, March 5th.
Missing an official release back in 1987, comes an amazing non-OG colorway of the Air Jordan 2 following the release of the Just Don x Air Jordan 2’s. Dressed in a bred-like colorway, the upper is made up of mostly black, with hints of varsity red throughout. A snakeskin detailing pairs beautifully with the black leather on the upper. Nike branding on the heel and Jordan on the tongue completes the silhouette. Be sure to pick up the “Alternate ’87” Air Jordan 2 when it drops this Saturday, February 6th.
Last years collaboration between Just Don and Jordan Brand was met with major success, displaying Don C’s ability to make a unique and beautiful Air Jordan. Choosing to use the Air Jordan 2 Retro as his canvas once again, Don decidedly sticks with a single tone for this release as well. Coming in a sandy tan, the sneaker is wrapped in a quilted premium leather, with hints of suede finishing off the upper. The packaging impresses as well with its giant red box, matching the hat included in the pack. The hat, noticeably missing the patent snakeskin leather familiar to Just Don caps, trades for a simple red leather which makes up the entirety of the cap. Be on the look out for raffle details coming next Thursday for your chance to be able to purchase a pair of the Just Don x Air Jordan 2’s, with the shoes dropping next Saturday, January 30th.
The Air Jordan 2 Retro ‘Nightshade’ borrows its elements from the 1986 original, and adds a sharp modern colorway to give it an eye-popping update. A deep Nightshade color has been added to the original embossed leather panels, while the laces, heel panel and midsole feature a darker Ice Black and Pure Platinum. Be on the look out for this releasing soon at Wish.
