This past Saturday Atlanta gathered at Wish ATL for the launch of the Adidas Consortium x Wish x Sneakerboy collaboration. The store was transformed into an under the sea experience – the sneaker room was a glow in the dark ocean oasis and upstairs, a jellyfish installation greeted everyone as they made their way into the store. We also had DJ Don Cannon bring the sound, creating an awesome vibe. As a token of our appreciation, the first 100 people who bought sneakers were gifted with a special edition glow in the dark sneaker pin that mimicked our collab shoe which was super dope. Thank you to everyone who came out and check out the photos below!
We are happy to announce that we have teamed up with Sneakerboy in Australia for the Adidas Consortium Sneaker Exchange program to create glow in the dark editions of the PureBOOST & ClimaCOOL, inspired by the worlds deadliest jellyfish. The pack will release at Wish & Sneakerboy on May 13th In-store & Online. Stay tuned for more info.
Wish ATL is launching a new charity initiative this month called #wishforkicks. We are collecting donations all month to turn those dollars into sneakers to give away to the teens from Chris180.org. Chris180 serves youth ages 6-17 in foster care who have emotional challenges stemming from trauma, as well as 18-24 year olds that are “aging out” of the foster care system and need help to get on their feet. Our goal is to provide a pair of sneakers from Wish for each child & teen in the organization for the Holidays.
Wish ATL has teamed up with a number of celebrities to help launch the program. Their generous donations helped us jump start this terrific campaign
A very special thanks to Kenny Burns, Josh Childress, Jermaine Dupri, David Fizdale, Jarrett Jack, K. Camp, Lloyd, Tyronn Lue, Lotto 7, Rayven Justice, Renaldo Nehemiah, Sammie, Shannon Sharpe, Josh Smith, Steve Smith, Greg Street, and T.I.

Wish ATL & Epitome have teamed up for this exclusive Atlanta event. The Nike SC Trainer High ATL 96 will release on 8/5 in store at both locations.
Staying true to Atlanta and the history of the 1996 Olympic Games, on Thursday 8/4, we will host an Olympic themed scavenger hunt for 5 lucky winners from each store to be awarded the chance to reserve their sneaker on release day, Friday 8/5. Clues will also be given via each store’s snapchat.
• Meet at Centennial Olympic Park at noon to enter the race. Representatives from both stores will be present.
• Participants will be given a clue at the start of the race that will lead them to their next destination.
• Participants who answer correctly and retrieve the next clue will then be placed on teams (#teamwish) (#teameptiome). 10 participants are eligible.
• Team Wish & Team Epitome will need to find the remaining 3 clues each and return to the store of their team.
• Each participant/team member that retrieves all 4 clues and returns them to the team store will be eligible to reserve their shoe and place in line prior to the release on Friday 8/5.
• Each participant must be registered at the start of the race. Collecting any clue out of order will be dismissed.
• Participants may not use assistance from any other persons during the race
• Winners will be notified of instructions for pick up once race is complete.
• For those not participating in the Scavenger hunt, the release will be first come first serve on Friday 8/5 @ noon at both location.
Wish played host to athletes and sneakerheads alike on Friday night, as we hosted a special VIP event for the opening of The Rise of Sneaker Culture at the High Museum. Guests were given access to the exhibit to check out over 155 sneakers from the archives of Adidas, Converse, Nike and of course, Jordan. A real sneakerhead’s delight as they can walk thru the collections, read the history, and see the shoes evolve from 1800s until present day. The exhibit runs from now until August 14. Make it a must to check it out!
Check out our album from our event. Stay tuned for a video coming soon.
In partnership with the High Museum, Wish ATL is excited to announce that “The Rise of Sneaker Culture” exhibit is coming to Atlanta! The exhibition explores the evolution of the sneaker from its origins in the mid-nineteenth century to its role in the present day as an urban status symbol and marker of masculine identity. There will be 155 different sneakers on display from the archives of adidas, Nike, and Converse, to design houses such as Prada and Louboutin. Come by the store and snap a pic standing on our Sneaker Exhibit mat and share on social media with the hashtag #SneakerHigh2016 for a chance to be included in an interactive slide show. Don’t miss the exhibit when it lands in Atlanta on June 11th, 2016.
For this year’s Black History Month capsule, we collaborated with Atlanta based artist Markeidric (@Markeidric) to pay homage to four musicians: Ray Charles, James Brown, Otis Redding, and Gladys Knight. Taking inspiration from Mount Rushmore, we chose these four iconic Georgia musicians to be the faces on our own mountain of greatness. Through a t-shirt consisting of butter yellow and red graphic in resemblance of the Georgia clay, these musicians are recognized for sticking to its roots and cultivating music’s greatest sounds. The collection is now available here.
This past Friday evening, sneakerheads, creatives, and everyone in-between gathered at Studio No. 7 in Atlanta to help celebrate the launch of Wish’s collaboration pack with Vault by Vans, the Fine Wine & Olives pack. The event, sponsored by both Heinken and Hercules, was a full house and hit amongst those in attendance. Sounds were provided by Two-9’s own DJ Osh Kosh, and helped to create a lively environment. Also a part of the entertainment was the OMG Booth, in which people could take pictures with the whole squad in front of a Wish backdrop. Check the rest of the post to see some of the action from the event.
