In the early 90’s, running shoes were going through a design revolution. At the same time, the video game industry was in the midst of its own revolution, with 16 bit systems introducing never before seen graphical capabilities and taking over from their 8 bit predecessors. The Saucony Originals Grid Games Collection pays homage to the legendary footwear and video game breakthroughs of the era with tech inspired designs. This Spring, the GRID SD returns with a few adjustments to this classic silhouette. The two colorways each feature buttery suede, leather and synthetic mesh, which allows for breathability. The upper also incorporates a molded forefoot, quarter straps and reflective material at the heel in its bold design. Finished with a Shadow 5000 sole with an outer triangular lug system.

This spring season, Hayashi reissues his deluxe silhouette, the TH Priz Hi LX. Inspired by the build of the Vans Prison Issue, the TH Priz Hi LX is an elevated extension of the beloved low-top. Created by Taka five years ago, the split-paneled TH Priz Hi LX returns after a long hiatus in a refined off-white canvas and brown leather form complete with perforated heel panels, embroidered ankle straps and tonal waxed laces.

Started as a part of a university assignment, founder Valentin Ozich once summed up his personal style in three words – I love ugly. With the mission to create the “best products in the world” with minimal branding, I Love Ugly recreates classic garments with its own special, at times eccentric twist. The line includes relaxed slim cut jeans, both basic and graphic t-shirts, and drop crotch shorts. The Nike Air Max Uptempo was one of the most popular basketball shoes seen on-foot during the 1995-96 NBA season, so why Nike is referencing the Spurs with a reference to their ‘fiesta’ home court colors is still a little murky. There wasn’t a particular player on the roster who championed this sneaker, and yet here it is donning a unique graphic lining while an added dash of blue hits the outsole. While a subtle black and white keeps things traditional throughout most of the shoe, Light Pink does hit the Air Max unit as well as the unique Uptempo logo on the heel.
