Coming Soon: Nike Air Foamposite One “Sport Royal” | 6/29

Thanks to Penny Hardaway’s stay with the Orlando Magic, the Hardaway line of Nikes have seen long been mixed up in the royal colorway. However, departing from the usual combonation of colors that this model usually sees, the Nike Air Foamposite “Sport Royal” features a shiny sport royal upper with wolf grey lining along the trim and lace work. An icy outsole caps off the colorway, complemented by the classic carbon fiber support.

Be on the lookout for this release in-store only on Saturday, June 29, 2013 via our Moreland Ave. shop.

Introducing the Komono Wizard Print Series Now Available at Wish

We are proud to announce that we are now carrying Komono at Wish! Komono, Japanese for “Small Things“, is a unique brand from creators Anton Janssen and Raf Maes that specializes in creating simple, yet elegant accessories. The first collection to be introduced at Wish comes by way of the Komono Wizard Print Series. Unveiled just last year, the brand adds a series of distinct all over patterns to its Wizard Watch model. Rounded out with matte metal casing and authentic leather detailing, these watches make great accessories for just about any outfit.

Wish & Wale “The Gifted” Meet & Greet Event Recap

Taking place yesterday, MMG rapper Wale celebrated the release of his upcoming album “The Gifted” with an in-store Meet n’ Greet at Wish. The store was packed as fans, shoppers, and even Trinidad James gathered to hangout, shake hands, or get a signature or picture taken with Ralph himself. Wale, a well known sneaker collector, also took the chance to sign a few sneakers among promotional posters for the upcoming project. COMME des GARÇONS PLAY and Converse are back to team up yet again, this time, to imprint its iconic heart-style graphic across a line of Converse Pro Leather sneakers. This classic collaboriation between Rei Kawakubo’s brand and Converse makes yet another great collection after previously successfully taking on the Chuck Taylor and Jack Purcell models. The current collection however sees Milk and Black Mid and Ox silhouettes, featuring both the high top and low top Pro Leather. California based brand, Publish, and New York boutique, Extra Butter, pull off a coast-to-coast collaboration to produce a great, stylish Jogger. Labeled the Martin Jogger, the casual pants feature an all-over python snakeskin print, cut for a relaxed fit. Made from lightweight twill, the joggers feature elastic ankle cuffs and side pockets.

Nike Lebron X EXT Denim QS – Mid Navy/Hazelnut-Fireberry

We’ve recently taken stock of one of the more anticipated Lebron releases as of late: The Lebron X EXT “Denim.” As expected, the pair arrive in an all-over rich indigo denim upper that see subdued and tonal stitchwork throughout. Vibrant “Fireberry” runs the base of the pair’s midsole and is situated atop a translucent matching outsole and Flywire eyelets. Hazelnut leather completes the look and is layered over the tongue and waxed laces.

Jonathan Mannion Releases Never-Before-Seen Photos of Kanye West from the Early 2000s

With Kanye West stepping not only into fatherhood, but also a highly anticipated and controversial release day for his latest full length, Yeezus, iconic photographer Jonathan Mannion has released a small set of never-before-seen photographs of Kanye West from the early-2000’s era. Collected from a photoset for The FADER’s inaugural “Now” Issue, the photoset was also the very first ever Kanye West magazine cover photoshoot. An obvious stark contrast exists when looking back at a pre-era Ye compared to the current Yeezy Season Mr. West. Nonetheless, a very interesting retrospective glance into a previous era of an artist who has gone on to not only re-structure the hip-hop landscape but also position himself as a strong voice within the realms of fashion as well.

Track of the Day: Despicable Me 2: Official Full Album Stream

As fans of the first feature film installment will attest, the inaugural soundtrack to the animated film Despicable Me was co-produced by none-other-than Pharrell Williams. Off the success of the first movie, the franchise readies its second soundtrack, this time with Pharrell at the audio helm once again. Today brings news that the comprehensive soundtrack has been oferred up for a full album stream. Featuring an opening track by Cee Lo Green, each of the songs was written/co-written and produced by Pharrell himself. Stream the full album below. Despicable Me 2 is slated to release nationwide in theaters beginning July 3, 2013.

Coming Soon: Nike Air Force 1 in Hyper Blue & University Red | 6/22

The Nike Air Force 1 is back at Wish with the arrivals of Hyper Blue and University Red colorways. As two parts of the five part “Blazer Pack,” the influence of the Nike Blazer is not apparent at first. However, this model sees the original suede colorways of the Nike Blazer across the entire body with the exception of the white leather Nike check and heel. Pictured below, these releases will be available at Wish this Saturday retailing at $90 each.

Sneaker Con Atlanta 2013 Recap

On June 15, 2013, the sneaker community of Atlanta took a pause as individuals from all walks of life, ethnicity, and income descended onto Dominique Wilkins Gym on Campbelton Road for Sneaker Con Atlanta 2013. Everyone from novice sneakerheads to downright footwear aficionados were in attendance hoping to either flip their pairs or discover a gem that they missed the first time around. Vendors sold everything from plastic wrapped exclusive sneaks to socks and jewelery as individuals walked around boldly lifting their pairs in the air, showing off their inventory in hopes of making that big profit. Most of the sneakers there having released at Wish at one time or another, it was great to see the community come together in such an event as this. This was our first time covering Sneaker Con, but it will surely not be our last. And after looking at some of the photos below, you’ll understand why.

Young Jeezy and Gourmet Footwear Launch Event Recap

Atlanta icon Young Jeezy has recently teamed up with sneaker company Gourmet Footwear with the goal of expanding the company’s reach. This partnership, which will include exclusive co-branded digital content, social media initiatives, and creative involvement from Young Jeezy is also aiming to merge the distinct worlds of footwear, fashion, and music. To celebrate the beginning to this relationship, partners Gourmet and Jeezy hosted an event in our store to show off their first collection of all new styles under the new regime.
