Coming Soon: Air Jordan 8 Retro “Aqua”

Eight years since its last re-release, Jordan fans, 90’s fans, and sneakerheads can finally give thanks as the Air Jordan “Aqua” 8’s will finally be seeing the light of day right after Thanksgiving on this years Black Friday. Coming true to its original 1993 make up, the Air Jordan 8 “Aqua” will feature all of the same details from back in the day. From the Bright Concord and Aqua on the midsole, dual strap overlay, circular terrycloth tongue logo, all the details from Tinker Hatfield’s retro design are all there. Look for this nostalgic sneaker to drop this Friday, November 27th, in the midst of all the Black Friday madness.

MIDNIGHT STUDIOS Fall/Winter 2015 Collection

Punk Rock meets the streets with MIDNIGHT STUDIOS collection for the 2015 Fall/Winter season. Tones for the collection remain relatively colorless ranging from black to off-white, and including iconic photos from the one and only Steve Emberton. The collection consists of tees, a hoodie and a corduroy jacket, all made up of high quality materials. Some of the pieces include black and white artwork Mr. Emberton straight from his catalog. For one of the more detailed pieces in the collection, the Emberton courduroy Riders jacket features a waist belt, collar snap closures, and an asymmetrical zip for a real rockstar look. The entire collection is now available in-store and online.

If you were one of the ones who missed out on Ri Ri’s last set of PUMA sneakers, you’re back in luck, as two new renditions of the “Creepers” have come to fruition. Coming in Oatmeal and Coral colorways, the new releases features the same smooth suede upper, over a platform-like gum sole. The first of the two comes in a tonal cream upper, while the latter is more colorful with the pinkish upper and dark green stripes. Look for Rihanna’s latest to drop tomorrow, November 20th.

Undefeated links up with Converse once again for a new collection of everyday sneakers for your wardrobe. One of the first things that is apparent with this collection is the clean aesthetic the duo has crafted with this set of sneakers. For the first of the two, the sneaker comes wrapped in leather, with a mix of white and red leather, splitting the sneaker, with the red leather taking the heel. For the latter sneaker, it comes all black, and both are finished with a white sole. For some extra detailing, both sneakers are lined with cheetah print, say “Play Dirty” on the insole, and receive Undefeated branding on the lace tips.

Holiday releases continue to heat up and now we can add this heavy release from Nike to the list with the Air Foamposite One “Hologram”. In typical Foamposite fashion, this one comes in another unique and beautiful colorway with its multi-colored upper seen when reflecting off light. The sole comes in an icey blue while the remainder of the sneaker is toned down with black. Gear up for a busy Thanksgiving weekend as this one drops November 25th, right before all the Black Friday madness.

Before Jordan Brand goes big with the release of their Air Jordan 10 City Pack coming in 2016, they decide to try the same tried and true concept on their Air Jordan Eclipse silhouette. For this pack, the sneaker giant has chosen to highlight three major European cities in London, Berlin, and Paris. The pack goes for a very simplistic but clean aesthetic with its neutral tones and choice of materials. The trio of sneakers all come in a leather upper, while the three cities are each represented with details on the tongue and insole.

Coming Soon: Pharrell Williams x BBC x adidas Originals Stan Smith “Pony Hair”

Adidas, BBC, and Pharrell takes us back to 2005 with this new set of Stan Smiths drowning in money signs and diamonds. For the collection, the pair of sneakers come wrapped in a super soft pony hair and lined with premium leather. Both sneakers use the diamond and money sign print that was popularized in 2005. The first of the two comes in black with white print and an icey blue sole. For the latter, Pharrell and company have chose to go with a cream colored upper with black print and a hot pink sole for a pop of color. To those familiar with the culture in 2005, this is most definitely a collection of sneakers showcasing the bright colors popular at the time. Look for these to drop this Friday, November 20th.

Nike Roshe One “Varsity Red” & Roshe NM Flyknit “Gym Red”

Red sneakers continue to reign supreme this Fall, this time taking the form of a couple Roshe One silhouette’s. The first one comes in Nike’s popular Flyknit material, taking half of the upper for its template. The other part of the upper comes in a highly reflective material perfect for biking, running, or any other night time use. The Flyknit receives a white sole to help complete the sneaker. For the second sneaker of the batch, the Roshe One comes wrapped in ‘Varsity Red’, with a single tone coloring the entire upper and sole. The upper for this one is all mesh, making it highly breathable and lightweight. As always with the Roshe, both feature the super cozy injected unit midsole.

All red sneakers are great way to add a pop of color to any wardrobe and this pair of sneakers from Nike is no different. Utilizing Nike’s Air Huarache and Air Max Thea silhouette’s, both sneakers feature varsity red inside and out. For the Huarache, Nike sticks to a combination of leather, nylon, and spandex for a quality look and appeal. As far as comfort, the Huarache features the classic Air Sole unit in the midsole, ensuring comfort for all uses. The Air Max Thea makes use of a different set of materials, such as mesh and rubber, and also features the Air Sole unit similar to the Huarache. Both of the monochromatic sneakers are now available in-store at our Moreland Ave. location.

Wish ATL x Vault by Vans Launch Party Recap

This past Friday evening, sneakerheads, creatives, and everyone in-between gathered at Studio No. 7 in Atlanta to help celebrate the launch of Wish’s collaboration pack with Vault by Vans, the Fine Wine & Olives pack. The event, sponsored by both Heinken and Hercules, was a full house and hit amongst those in attendance. Sounds were provided by Two-9’s own DJ Osh Kosh, and helped to create a lively environment. Also a part of the entertainment was the OMG Booth, in which people could take pictures with the whole squad in front of a Wish backdrop. Check the rest of the post to see some of the action from the event.

Coming Soon: Nike Women’s Premium Jacquard Pack

Nike’s womens division comes through with a pack of camo sneakers guaranteed to turn some heads with their Jacquard pack. Making use of of five different popular Nike silhouette’s, the pack consists of a Roshe Run, Blazer Mid, Air Max 90, Koth Ultra, and Internationalist. All of the silhouette’s come in a desert camo, and have some form of hot lava dotted detailing. The camo on these sneakers comes in a combination of Dark Citron and Sequoia. Materials range from leather to mesh, and each sneaker features its signature technology, such as the Air Max 90’s revolutionary Air-Sole unit. The entire pack is now available on Wish ATL shelves at our Moreland Ave location.

Coming Soon: Air Jordan 1.5 “Bred”

Jordan Brand continues to push out popular colorways that helped to make the brand who they are today, putting the infamous “Bred” colorway on the Air Jordan 1.5. Taking the upper from the Air Jordan 1 and attaching it to the sole from the Air Jordan 1, this release is something the casual or die hard sneakerhead can appreciate. Details on the sneaker consist of a foam tongue, Air Jordan wings on the side panel, and Nike Air branding on the tongue. The “Bred” colorway is made up of a red and black upper, and finished with a clean white sole. Look for these to drop this Saturday, November 21st.

adidas Consortium, in its 10th year anniversary, comes through with a special Superstar in a Moonrock colorway familiar to the upcoming Yeezy Boost 350. Dressed in a buttery grey suede, the mono-colored sneaker is made up of premium suede and leather. Details consist of a foil-embossed logo on the tongue, and the signature Superstar shelltoe, wrapped in suede. To complete the rare sneaker, Adidas has included numbering on each sneaker, all out of 1000, signifying the amount of pairs made. Look for this sneaker to release on November 13th.

Coming Soon: adidas Originals Yeezy Boost 350 “Moonrock”

With Yeezy season well underway, comes the third release of the highly sought after Yeezy Boost 350. With the official color code listed as “Agate Gray/Moonrock/Agate Gray”, the latest rendition of the Yeezy Boost 350 seems to be more in line with the tones native to Yeezy Season 1 and 2. Materials for this release are the same as past 350 releases, with the knitted upper and suede detail on the inside of the sneaker. This new Moonrock colorway is an interesting color with its blend of a dull gray and beige. The heel tab from past 350’s is visible, but this time trading the red stripe for an agate gray stripe keeping this sneaker mostly one color tone. Something to take note of is this is not the first Moonrock colored sneaker Yeezy has come out with, as the recently released Yeezy Boost 950 consisted of a Moonrock colorway, but this one will be more suitable for daily use. Nike Lebron 13 “Friday The 13th”

Next in line for Nike sneaker releases comes this new spooky rendition of the popular Lebron 13. Inspired by the king’s love for horror flicks, this bloody looking sneaker is complete with a great deal of attention to detail. Bloody red speckles make up the midsole, while King James signature logo can be found on the toe and heel. As with many Lebron silhouette’s, geometric detailing makes up a great portion of the shoe and a black Nike swoosh is layered over a mostly white upper. If the comfort level on these is fit for one of the worlds best basketball players you’ll want these for the courts or even casual wear. Look for the spooky Lebron 13 to drop on Friday, November 13th.

Introducing: Wish “Moreland Panthers” Collection

As the weather continues to cool, and leaves change, we find ourselves in the midst of football season. In light of this, we would like to introduce our own mascot, the Moreland Panthers. The collection was inspired by vintage team logos from the 1970’s and features our signature panther mascot. For this first drop, the set comes equipped with a hoodie, long sleeve tee, and t-shirts. Also featured in the collection are a duo of hats displaying the panther head on the front and Wish logo on the back. All of the tops feature our panther mascot holding a football and would be a great way to rep for Wish or to show your appreciation for the sport. Coming Soon: Air Jordan 7 Retro “Nothing But Net”

Jordan brand takes us back to the 90’s with this retro release of the Air Jordan 7 dubbed “Nothing But Net” but also known as the “Sweater” 7’s. Straying from the typical subtle color ways known to the Air Jordan 7, this louder version of the silhouette is based around MJ’s outfit worn to Barcelona in 1992, as well as the commercial of a classic showdown between his airness and Larry Bird from the same era. The upper for this one comes in leather and features sweater accents throughout. The tongue trades the typical polyonal tongue for a simple black tongue to complete the sneaker. Look for these release this Saturday, November 14th.
