In March, Japan was hit by a 8.9-magnitude massive earthquake off the country’s Eastern coast. One of the largest earthquakes in history, the quake triggered a 23-foot tsunami that battered homes, buildings, and lives off the coast. Although the official deathtoll sits somewhere near 15,000 people, the loss of life is certain to be a much steeper number when considering the some-8,000 people missing and thousands of others that governments might not yet know about.
When faced with situations like this, it’s tough to think about anything else, much less fashion or toy collecting. We genuinely respect Medicom for releasing this set of Be@rbricks as a means to raise money to help the disaster victims in Japan. In some small ways, we can all help to help in rebuilding a nation and people that were greatly impacted by the disaster.

Vans Vault shows the strength of their Summer ’11 releases through their latest collaboration project with Brother’s Marshall. Brothers Trace and Chad Marshall are well known in the California surf scene. In addition, both brothers are part owners alongside Rick Klotz in Warriors of Radness. Their latest project with Vans Vault features a nice tonal leather/snake skin upper with hints of a “moon beam” colorway shown on the insole and the lining. Ultra-clean and more than fresh, these shoes (like all Vault releases) are in limited supply at our Moreland shop for only $85. Back for another Quickstrike round and fresh off the heels of their previous black and navy canvas releases, Nike drops two new colorways in a Nike Blazer AB Vintage Pack. Releasing this Saturday, July 9, they will be available in a suede “Gorge Green” as well as a Varsity Royal. Consistent to the vintage aesthetic, the tongue features the classicly discolored tongur with rough stitchwork. On inner-side zip makes this shoe really stand out from a traditional blazer. Both styles will be available in-store this Saturday for a retail of $100 each. These will definitely be selling quick so make sure you swing through. The homies over at TheHundreds.com posted our hat colab with dope pictures and everything. Working with Bobby Hundreds and the whole gang was more than a pleasure. It was truly an honor to get to work a piece with a brand that we have so much respect for. Teaming up with The Hundreds, Wish took inspiration from the Atlanta-based public transit, MARTA, for their Player colab snapback. Incorporating the three staple colors from the MARTA logo, Wish outlined The Hundreds block font in yellow with “Atlanta” stitched above to give it local appeal. The bill of the snapback is set in a light blue hue that compliments their “s” logo on the side panel. Multi-colored eyelets offer a nice contrast while maintaining the color way aesthetics. The Hundreds x Wish Player Snapback will be available on July 7, 2011, and will be for sale starting at midnight in our online shop. It will be for sale in-store at noon on July 7. Retail is $32, Quantities are extremely limited.

To kick off their Summer Collections the right way, Vans Womens and Hellz Bellz teamed up for a limited round interpretation of the Vans Bailie silhouette. Featuring all the grungy buckles and chains that can be expected of Hellz Bellz, the shoes feature a black leather and suede upper with woven heel poping. In honor of the Jordan 5 Retro release tomorrow (and freedom), we’ll be releasing a limited run of what we’re calling the Wish “Independence Day” tee. Inspired by the iconic J’s, the shirt features the white speckled shark teeth that is so recognizable from the 5 outsole. Retailing for $28, the tee will be releasing in-store on the day of the Jordan release, July 2.
