A little less “geographically-specific” than spring, this grouping focuses on life in the tropics with its wide selection of prints and graphics set atop a contrasting color palette of black, white, and various bright colors. Though definitely a product of New York, 10.Deep has emerged as a worldwide presence over the years. Celebrating its international status, the brand looked to the flowing Phoenician abjad, intricate Byzantine brocade fabrics and vintage 20th century American travelogues to build the second installment of its Spring 2014 collection. Accordingly, this diverse collection features map motifs that span California to Kolkata, rich geometric tapestry prints in earthly-dyed colors, and vivid floral designs. These are all presented across a range of modern athletic staples, including baseball shirts, hoodies, short-sleeved football jerseys and flexible trousers.
While New York City streetwear rose on its own through decades of development, its existence was nurtured and refined in Japan. Just in time for spring season is approaching, 10 Deep pays homage to the Japanese culture. To end its year on high note, 10.Deep is back, capping off its Holiday season with the “After Midnight” Holiday Collection. “After Midnight” represents the flip side of its last delivery, exploring the concept of an eternal past. Icons of ancient Egypt are utilized to represent an ancient concept of eternity and mortality that is juxtaposed against hyper-modern graphic treatments and the vibrant, synthetic orange that is a focal point of the delivery. The effect is a group that, like the concept for the season, brings together ideas of the future with an ancient past. The dark and diverse range from 10.Deep is now available at Wish in-store and online.
After already releasing the counterpart to this drop, the core collection from 10.Deep is now available at Wish. Inspired by exploring the idea of the transition from night to day, the New York brand dubs this collection “Midnight.” Amongst the pieces, stark black-and-whites sit in contrast with colors reminiscent of the pale glow cast by neon signs. Plaids, botanical prints and paisley patterns mix with black dip-dye processes as an opaque nod to the rising darkness. There are also hits of Japanese text mixed with the usual 10.Deep imprints in an homage to Neo Tokyo, the fictional city that served as a secondary visual inspiration for the delivery. This theme provides for a an interesting color palette and range of patterns that adorn the collection that is now available at Wish.
