PONY 2013 Fall/Winter City Wings “Knicks” Royal & “Charcoal”

After just dropping off a nice retro sneaker in the form of the PONY M-100 Hi Black/Red, the storied footwear brand agin reaches back into its archives to bring us something new for the 2013 fall/winter season. Using its “City Wings” model as a base, PONY reworks the classic model in two contrasting colorways. The first of the pair is a “Knicks” colorway, which given its name, sports an alternating Royal Blue and Orange design atop a full grain leather build along with a vintage-styled outsole. On the other end of the color spectrum, the “Charcoal” iteration sees a greyscale makeup consisting of both dark and light grey to cover its leather upper. If you need a solid pick up going into the holiday season, this could be a good purchase.

The often remixed Air Jordan 1 Mid is yet again seeing a new design, this time in a Black/Gym Red-Metallic Gold colorway. Tumbled leather panels covers the exterior of the silhouette, where black serves as a monotone backdrop. Metallic gold adds a great flare to the shoe, including the embroidered patch Swoosh, which is outlined in gym red. Completing the kick is the use of a cool tone of blue for the inner lining and warm gym red on the outsole.

After seeing a collaboration from Liberty London earlier this year with Vans, the English Department Store is back with another great partnership with none other than Nike. With this collaborative effort, Nike works with Liberty London to put a new spin on seasonal sneakers using the Air Max 1, Dunk Sky High SneakerBoot, Nike Roshe Run Hi SneakerBoot and Air Revolution Sky High as a canvas. All wrapped in Liberty London’s signature paisley print, Bourton, the sneakers offer the comfort of Nike with a stylish edge. Admittedly not bringing the same amount of hype or covet as the last “Bred” release of the Air Jordan 11 Retro, Jordan is set to release a nice rendition of the classic colorway applied to the Jordan 6 Rings model. The Jordan 6 Rings “Bred” sports the popular Black and Red make up, featuring a mesh and patent leather construction. White is seen on the midsole while Red is seen on the branding, outsole, and sock liner. Sure to be a popular release, these sneakers will be available soon at Wish.

Brought together by the pride associated with their West-coast surroundings, the brand looks to stay extremely loyal to the city of Los Angeles.

With the arrival of their new clothing line, the group seems to be setting its sights on conquering the next frontier of fashion. Jordan Brand brings back a classic colorway for Black Friday with the Air Jordan 5 “Oreo.” This stealthy colorway features an all Black suede upper with a Cool Grey Jumpman on the tongue. Publish 2013 Holiday “Modern Day Shakespeare” Collection

Just in time for the upcoming holiday season, the fabulous people over at Publish are releasing an extensive holiday collection. Dubbed “Modern Day Shakespeare,” the range explores the idea of reinventing the new man and explores a multitude of new materials and textures for this purpose. A nice example from this collection is the “Trouski,” a classic jogger pant updated with beautiful herringbone wool, available in light grey and heavy flecked charcoal black. The custom reptile scale pattern in copper brown or dark slate is a staple for the collection, presenting itself in an M-65 style jacket, a pair of cuffed joggers, the pockets of two plain tees, and 5-panel strap back caps. This excellent assortment of pieces is now available at Wish.

After originally releasing in a solid color blocking back in 1997, the Nike Air Foamposite One has seen a lot of different prints in recent seasons. In the same vein as the Foamposite “Weatherman” and “Thermal Map” iterations comes the Nike Air Foamposite One “Safari.” Completely covered in the classic black and white safari print, black eyelet panels and orange detailing contrasts the greyscale pattern. An icy translucent outsole balances out the design, keeping the focus on the upper. Be on the lookout for word on this upcoming release.
