Simultaneously celebrating this and current sneaker trend, Vans Vault has released three renditions of its toughest models. The Vans Vault TH Derby 2 LX, TH Court Hi LX, and TH Sk8-Mid LX have each been done up in the rough, earthy aesthetic. The Court Hi LX sports a pixel camo pattern composed of small squares in a range of earthy tones across the quarter panels while the Sk8-Mid LX sees a vibrant Chimayo fabric featured on the quarter panels. The Chinese New Year has come and gone, but this hasn’t stopped Nike from commemorating the occasion with its “Year of the Horse” edition of the Air Footscape Woven Chukka. Certainly one of the more unique YOTH edition releases presented this year, the shoes feature a glossy printed purple upper accented by yellow panels and a the Footscape defining mustard yellow weave along the sides. Other points include the white midsole portion and thick hairy laces. As with the most YOTH releases, the pair is finished off with an ancient Chinese character on the tongue symbolizing the year in the zodiac.
Compton fashion brand Drifter is back in 2014 with some great new pieces for Spring. The Air Jordan Retro 3 is back after January’s Powder Blue release with the Air Jordan 3 “Infrared 23.″ Composed much like the iconic White/Cement original, only with hints of Infrared coloring, a white tumbled leather upper holds the famous elephant print overlays on the toe box and heel. The upper is nicely contrasted with black on more of the midsole, tongue, ankle collar, and Jumpman heel logo. The recently utilized “Infrared 23″ hue adds a little color on the top and bottom eyelets, as well as in the visible air in the midsole.
