The often remixed Air Jordan 1 Mid is yet again seeing a new design, this time in a Black/Gym Red-Metallic Gold colorway. Tumbled leather panels covers the exterior of the silhouette, where black serves as a monotone backdrop. Metallic gold adds a great flare to the shoe, including the embroidered patch Swoosh, which is outlined in gym red. Completing the kick is the use of a cool tone of blue for the inner lining and warm gym red on the outsole.

Admittedly not bringing the same amount of hype or covet as the last “Bred” release of the Air Jordan 11 Retro, Jordan is set to release a nice rendition of the classic colorway applied to the Jordan 6 Rings model. The Jordan 6 Rings “Bred” sports the popular Black and Red make up, featuring a mesh and patent leather construction. White is seen on the midsole while Red is seen on the branding, outsole, and sock liner. Sure to be a popular release, these sneakers will be available soon at Wish.
Jordan Brand brings back a classic colorway for Black Friday with the Air Jordan 5 “Oreo.” This stealthy colorway features an all Black suede upper with a Cool Grey Jumpman on the tongue. The signature “Oreo” speckles are found on the shark tooth design located on the midsole. With a matching White sockliner to complete the “Oreo” look, this release will be available soon at Wish.

In addition to hosting Gemo Wong and Jason Mayden at this past weekend’s A Night with Jordan Brand, Part 2, one of the highlights of the event was also the footwork of those in attendance. Showing full brand support for his airness’s namesake sportswear line, the attendees brought out a plethora of heat from the closet. In addition to a wide variety of Retro’s, LeBron releases and Doerbecher drops, we also caught a rare sighting of the storied Marc Jacobs x Vans Slip-On from years ago. Enjoy the eye candy.
Following a successful recap of the A Night with Jordan Brand Part 2, those that were in attendance for this past weekend’s events were also witnesses to a special 1-of-1 gift that Jason Mayden and Brand Jordan offered to Wish. Building on the all-red Doernbecher 3 Retro iteration, Brand Jordan crafted up a 1-of-1 pair specifically for Wish Atlanta that features a side heel Wish logo embellishment as well as customized lace locks. The right shoe boasts the trademark Wish logo etched in wood, while the left pair features none other than Tinker Hatfield. In addition to the specifically customized pair of DB3’s from Brand Jordan, the Beaverton camp also executed a special white satin dust bag for the shoes.
Our “A Night With Jordan Brand” event with Senior Global Design Director Jason Mayden and Director of Energy Footwear Gemo Wong that took place this past Friday night was not only a special night for us here at Wish, but also the city of Atlanta, and all of our supporters. Attendees got more than what they bargained for, as the night was not only about sneakers and fashion, but also about career goals, character building, and life lessons from the Jordan Brand Senior Directors. However, the night consisted of more than just presentations from Mayden and Wong, who after their talks were able to have one-on-one conversations with guests and even critique several creative portfolios. Perhaps the most fascinating part of the night came as ten raffle winners were selected to preview future Jordan Brand models and a select two had the priveledge of designing their own custom pair of Nike i.D. sneakers with Mayden and Wong. With drinks sponsored by Mountain Dew, the night also saw a one-of-a-kind limited sneaker collection by Tennesee native Joseph Privitte, a special appearance by rapper Killer Mike, and a custom pair of Wish Air Jordan 3 Retro Doernbechers.

The “Laney” palette from Jordan isn’t done just yet. The next pair of Jordans to come along sporting the special combo of yellow and blue is the Air Jordan 1 “Laney.” This classic high top basketball sneaker features a bold Varsity Maize upper in tumbled leather that’s layered atop a soft suede Game Royal Blue underlay. A nice addition to the “Laney” range, this release will be made available at Wish soon.
Last retroed in 2000, Air Jordan is taking is bringing back another classic after nearly 13 years in the form of the Air Jordan 5 Retro “Laney High.” Featuring a predominantely white leather upper, the pair sees an interplay of Varsity Maize/Varsity Royal that give nod to Michael Jordan’s High School. Expect these to arrive soon as a #wishstrike through Wish.
For once, it looks like the men may be envying a womens style shoe. For some reason or another, the Jordan Beaverton camp has decided to release these only in a “Girls Air Jordan” Grade School sizing. The classic Air Jordan 10 Retro is making a return in an ill “Fusion Red” colorway. Mocked up in traditional full grain leathers, the pair rests atop a red and black outsole and is paired with a Fusion Red/Black checkered interior lining. Expect these to arrive soon through Wish. Retail will be $120 USD.
What seems to be responsible for the success of the Air Jordan Retro models even more than the specific model, is the colorway displayed on each pair, and the classic “Bred” colorway is perhaps the most popular. The next iteration of this colorway comes in the form of a new Air Jordan 1 Retro ’95 TXT. Borrowing elements from the Air Jordan Retro 11 “Bred”, this model features a heavy mesh black upper, patent leather toe, and and a white midsole with red outsole to complete the look. Air Jordan fans, be on the lookout for these releasing at Wish soon.
When the Tinker Hatfield and Josh Heard designed Air Jordan XX8 was first introduced this year, it was skeptically received by critics and footwear aficianados. And yet, since its inception, those who have had the chance to put these on court and get some play time out of them, have had nothing but good things to say for the most part. Applying one of its age old motifs to a modern Jordan model, the Jordan Brand camp readies the release of the Air Jordan XX8 “Elephant Print” Pack. Aptly titled, the shoe’s exterior glove boasts a predominantly elephant print motif while a carbon fiber midsole and a pure white outsole.

Having already released several versions of the Air Jordan Retro 5 this year, Jordan Brand take a break from the ordinary with the release of the Air Jordan 5 “3Lab5.” Completely different from any colorway combination ever seen, this shoe is wrapped in Jordan’s classic Elephant print with contrasting Gamma Blue and Purple seen throughout. Around this time last year, sneaker connoisseurs everywhere were patiently waiting for the release of the Air Jordan IV Retro “Bred.” Well Jordan Brand takes another stab at the popular colorway with the September release of the Air Jordan 1 Retro Retro ’89 Black/Fire Red. Mimicking the Jordan IV in respect to the Black upper and Red accents throughout, the ’89 adds in a bit of uniqueness with the addition of speckle along the Cement Grey midsole and Black netting over the Nike swoosh. Be on the lookout for these gems hitting the shelves at Wish soon.
For those that may have missed the previously released Air Jordan 4 Retro in Cement Grey, you just may have another option to sate your Cement Grey hunger. Air Jordan today debuts the 1 Retro ’89 in a choice “White/Black-Cement Grey-Fire Red” execution. Super clean and decidedly minimalistic, the mostly white upper is constructed from full grain leather and is positioned atop a speckled Cement Grey outsole with complementary ankle panels in the motif. A bold hit of Fire Red is strewn across the embroidered Jumpman on the tongue while tonal plastic mesh paneling and a black Swoosh round things out. Air Jordan releases a new iteration to its 1 Mid silhouette this weekend in the form of the Air Jordan 1 Mid “Gorge Green/University Gold.” The pair boasts a decidedly Greenbay aesthetic via hits of the Gorge Green hue throughout that is traced with accents of bright University Gold.
