It hasn’t been long since we introduced the up-and-coming functional streetwear brand ICE COLD NY to our Atlanta storefront. But in the passing time, the New York brand born out of a legitimate need of a cyclist to be seen at night has now become a success story, gaining worldwide renown and pulling off collaborations with some great brands.
For the 2013 Fall/Winter season, we had the pleasure of joining with ICE COLD NY to create a brand new piece for the colder weather. The Wish x ICE COLD NY 3M Windbreaker is a collaborative effort that takes the minimal and reflective elements that have come to be expected from ICE COLD and applies it to a functional windbreaker. With reflective hits along the rim of the hood, wrists, and the respective brand logos across the front and the back, this piece is ready to wear for any serious biker, or casual streetwear connoisseur.
The Wish x ICE COLD NY 3M Windbreaker will be available on the online shop and via our Moreland Ave. location on Wednesday, November 6 at Noon.

For the 2013 Holiday season Staple is gracing us all with a new collection of quality menswear. For this collection, Staple dials down the nature influences in its patterns in favor of a more muted color pallette, featuring minimal monochrome pieces as well as a range of splattered patterns. As usual, Staple keeps things interesting with its choice of materials as this collection even sees a corduroy woven shirt. A great pickup for any Renown Pigeon lover, this collection is now available at Wish.

Coming Soon: Nike 2013 “The Monotones Vol. 1” Footwear Collection
It seems that the year of 2013 has seen a growing trend of minimal and predominately tonal color blocking. Continuing the trend in a major way is Nike, bringing us the Nike 2013 “The Monotones Vol. 1” Footwear Collection. The range features a graduating spectrum of grey tones from white to dark grey covering Nike Air Force 1, Air Trainer 1, and Air Max 1 models. The Air Force 1 component of the pack is dressed in a matte Cool Grey with a speckled splatter pattern on the heel, laces, and quarter panel while the toe features a shiny carbon fiber motif, matching the other two models. The most neutral of the range is a Silver/Midnight Fog edition of the classic Air Trainer 1 which sees a predominately speckled leather upper and a unique strap-connected mudguard. Finally, the Air Max 1 comes covered in the lightest of the grey tones, sporting a speckled synthetic upper and matching laces. Be on the lookout for the full pack releasing soon at Wish.
Reebok 2013 The Answer DMX 10 – Black/Red | #wishstrike
In light of Allen Iverson’s recent retirement, Reebok Classics readies another classic colorway of Iverson’s The Answer DMX 10. Mocked up in a choice 76ers “Black/Red/Gold” colorway, the pair rests atop a semi translucent gum bottom and sees hits of the blood red throughout the midsole, side profile and heel panel. Gold accents comprise the majority of the pair’s accents including the iconic I3 insignia along the outer ankle. Stay tuned for these to release soon through Wish. #wishstrike

Staple 2013 Fall/Winter Beanies New Arrivals
As somewhat of a precusor to its 2013 fall/winter collection, Staple is back to drop off a couple of nice headwear pieces. Featuring a subtle all-over pattern of the iconic Staple Pigeon, these knit beanies are perfect for the climate change coming with the new winter season. Also boasting the “RENOWN PIGEON” patch across the front, this beanie is now available in both Heather Grey and Black.

New Balance has given the 576 silhouette a new camo look for the fall/winter season. This new style is kept pretty clean and simple, with the camo hits featured throughout the shoe. The new release sees an olive suede upper with an orange and green camo pattern appearing on the toe box, tongue, collar and heel clip. Just Don 2013 Fall/Winter Black/Gold Collection
More Just Don goodness just hit the shelves here at Wish. This time, the premium hats take on an all black and gold look, showing off the imprints of both the Chicago Bulls and the world champion Miami Heat. Each strapback hat is constructed with Python snakesing and an all black upper, contrasted greatly by the gold satin embroidery.

This “Mint” collection sees variations of a black and mint colorway covering the Python snakeskin and satin embroidery on each strapback hat. Reebok Classics x Gary Warnett Classic Leather Bone/Nacho
As part of the Reebok certified network, the classic brand taps industry giant Gary Warnett for a special makeup of the Reebok Classic Leather. Released as part of Reebok’s 30th Anniversary collection, Warnett took an interesting spin on the shoe playing on the sentiment that the Classic Leather is the choice for criminals, drawing cues from British prison uniforms of the late 1800s, American prison jumpsuits, and prison tattoos. These inspirations manifest themselves in a canvas/leather upper accented with embroidered arrow decals and multi-colored overlap seen on the side panels all placed atop a translucent outsole.

Reebok Classics has reached back into the vault yet again to style Emmitt Smith’s Pump Paydirt in a colorway inspired by one of Smith’s biggest career rivals the San Francisco 49ers. The shoe features an all golden leather upper, with red seen on the cross-strap, padded collar, heel embroidery and inner lining. This great combination of colors and materials sits atop a speckled white midsole and black rubber outsole. Be on the lookout for these releasing soon at Wish.

Miami based brand Miansai from Michael Saiger has successfully created its own lane within the accessories industry by creating unique and timeless pieces that have made the brand a success, to say the least. For the 2013 fall/winter season, Miansai has put together a sound and diverse range of bracelets that reflect the brand’s handcrafted artisan quality. The collection includes a range of leather bracelets with a unique anchor motif closure, colorful rope bracelets, and the polished cuff series in brass and gold.

The Sound Table x Yardbird HK x Wish Recap Photos + Video
It’s hard to go wrong, when you’re in good company. Last weekend, we aligned with Atlanta-based restaurant and bar, The Sound Table to invite Hong Kong Japanese Yakitori collective, Yardbird HK to Atlanta. For the event, Yardbird’s own Matt Abergel (Head Chef) and Lindsay Jang were in attendance and Abergel was cooking a special, one-night only Yakitori menu. The night featured a multi-course menu that took attendees through a far-east journey through Chicken Thigh and Chicken Breast yakitori, KFC (Korean Friend Cauliflower), Yardbird’s signature Caesar Salad, Friend Chicken and plenty more.
In addition to the menu and the custom cocktails that were being pushed out by the bar, a late night was also hosted by Pat Mahony of DFA, LCD Soundsystem and Eug (Public Release, FACE).
For the night, Wish worked with The Sound Table to curate a special iteration of Yardbird HK’s Evan Hecox-designed chicken logo T-shirts. Boasting an oversized, vinyl printed white chiken on the back, each tee is finished out with an understated trio of logos at the feet and a custom, one-night only stamp on the interior neck.

adidas Originals is back to bring a great new addition for the ladies to the adidas Originals GLC collection. The adidas Originals GLC Black/Metallic Gold treats the wearer to a style fit for a true ball player with full grain tumbled leather and textile upper, and flash a metallic gold tongue buckle. Taking pointers from – or perhaps paying homage to – A Bathing Ape’s iconic BAPESTA bolt insignia, the latest “Bolts” snapback from Hall of Fame has arrived for Fall/Winter 2013. Mocked up in a mostly traditional Woodland M81 camouflage motif, the hat features a white outlined, yellow star and an adjustable snapback enclosure at the back. Hall of Fame embroidery tags and tonal eyeholes round things out.

adidas Originals reaches back into its archive for a two pack Americana Hi 88 for Fall/Winter 2013. The pair builds on the same timeless, 1970s basketball silhouette draping the entire upper of both shoes in a supple, tonal suede. Two colors – “Gold Rod” and “Res Red” are offered up this time and set atop pure white outsoles. In addition to the matching glossy lace eyelets and tonal red piping and laces, contrasting gold foil is seen emblazoned along the side profile and tongue hit.

Last retroed in 2000, Air Jordan is taking is bringing back another classic after nearly 13 years in the form of the Air Jordan 5 Retro “Laney High.” Featuring a predominantely white leather upper, the pair sees an interplay of Varsity Maize/Varsity Royal that give nod to Michael Jordan’s High School.
