One of the lines that has seen many successes here at the shop has been the COMME des GARCONS PLAY for Converse collection. Blending the best of both worlds – Converse’s timeless footwear silhouettes with the simplicity of CDG’s street-influenced PLAY line – the minimalist collaboration approach has been widely accepted. Slated to release this summer through Wish is the upcoming COMME des GARCONS PLAY for Converse 2013 Pro Leather range. Offered up in both high top and low top executions, the project arrives in the form of all-canvas sneaker that receive an ample placement of the iconic PLAY heart throughout.

Stay tuned for more information on the set release date, but expect these to arrive in-store and online mid-to-late June with a estimated retail tag of $130 USD to $140 USD.

Nike Lebron X P.S. Elite – Sport Turq/Volt-Violet Force | 5/25

Originally debuted by Lebron James himself this past April during the Heat vs. Boston Celtics game, Nike readies its latest Lebron X P.S. Elite. Slated to release this Saturday, May 25, through Wish, the pair arrives in a bold Sport Turqoise/Volt and Violet Force colorway. The boasts the customary Kevlar aramid enhanced Flywire upper that is accented by hits of the bold, Volt threaded laces, Swoosh and undersole. Elsewhere, the muted Sport Turqoise is scattered throughout the mostly black midfoot wings and tongue. Finishing the trio of hues, Violet Force is emblazoned within the inner lining of the shoe, bordering the Swoosh and along the midsole. The Nike Lebron X P.S. Elite will release this Saturday, May 25, 2013, through Wish. Retail is set at $260 USD.

Reebok The Answer DMX 10 – Black/White/Metallic Gold | 5/24

Even if a shoe isn’t the most wearable of options in your now-matured wardrobe, there is certainly something to say about the nostalgia of pulling out a pair of retro basketball sneakers and reliving those old memories. Originally released during Allen Iverson’s prime in 1997 when he was a burgeoning team member on the Philadelpha 76ers, the Reebok “The Answer” DMX 10 has become one of Reebok’s most celebrated signature models. Offering fans a re-release — the first since the pair’s initial introduction — Reebok is slated to debut The Answer with DMX 10 air technology this Friday, May 24, 2013. Arriving in a classic black leather, white and metallic gold iteration, the shoe boasts Iverson’s signature circular logo hit along the back heel as well as the transparent midsole and outsole technology along the bottom. Priced at $150 USD, the Reebok The Answer DMX 10 in Black/White/Metallic Gold will be releasing through Wish on May 24.

Billionaire Boys Club 2013 Spring/Summer Tiger Stripe Shirt in Indigo

“Wealth is of the heart and mind, not of the pocket.” A slogan that has carried the Pharrell-backed Billionaire Boys Club line stays true even today as the brand continues to progress into Spring/Summer 2013. For its latest seasonal range, the brand debuts the Tiger Stripe Shirt in Indigo. Boasting a predominantly tonal chambray upper, the ironically titled, “Tiger Stripe S/S Shirt” is emblazoned with all-over patterned diamonds and dollar signs. Adding a unique twist on the traditional button up, the shirt’s lower hem is given a nice drawstring closer while folded sleeve hems and pearl buttons round things out.

To mark the twentieth anniversary of Nike’s original superstar athlete’s showdown in the NBA finals (Jordan’s Bulls vs. Barkley’s Suns), Nike releases the Air Force Max 2013 “Toro Bravo”. The classic Sir Charles model sees a mainly red upper seperated by hints of grey and black. Also releasing in this same silhoutte is a version undoubtedly mimicking the “Grape” colorway featuring an all white upper with hits of purple and new emerald green. Zanerobe 2013 Spring/Summer Sureshot Pant Collection

Leith Testoni and Jonathan Yeo of premium menswear label Zanerobe drop their 2013 spring/summer Sureshot Pant Collection. The brand that started off as a bet over a beer between two friends has now become a well known label recognized by many, including TDE’s Kendrick Lamar this past weekend. In 10 years time, the label has transformed and embarked on an alternate journey with their designs that explore fashion through music and art. The SSUR imprint has come a long way since the early re-appropriations of COMME des GARCONS and the days of the early days of the Caviar Cartel. As the brand continues to expand and gain exposure, Spring/Summer 2013 sees the New York-based label releases new executions of their staple pieces and visuals. Aptly titled, the Peace Desert Snapback boasts an all-over print desert camouflage motif across the entirety of the hat while subdued black Arabic typeface is seen embroidered along the front two crowns. Rounded out with red stitching along the side panels and a plastic snapback enclosure, the Peace Desert Snapback is now available in-store and through our online shop here.

This quickstrike debut arrives in a trio of iconic Cortez shoes that see a supple suede toe cap, heel cap and lace vamp. The understated suede hits are positioned against nylon side panels that are emblazoned with a bold and bright floral design. Part of its larger Wildlife collection, the aptly titled, “Wildlife Shirt” boasts an all-over print leopard motif. Finished off with two embroidery tags on the lower left side, the Stussy Wildlife shirt sees clear buttons on the front and a customary Stussy neck tag. SSUR 2013 Spring/Summer Collection Editorial

To accentuate SSUR’s great Spring/Summer ’13 line, we went out and put together a special editorial. The SSUR brand, which is the creator Ruslan Karablin’s name, RUSS, spelled backwards, hints to his Russian heritage. Drawing inspiration from imperial art, Keith Haring, and Stussy, Karablin’s brand has steadily been on the rise in the past few years due to endorsements by A$AP Rocky, Kendrick Lamar and the huge cult popularity of the COMME de FUCKDOWN pieces. Rooted in SSUR’s usual clean and minimal asthetic, this specific drop features a variety of snapbacks, hoodies, tees, and tanks. The 200% Bearbricks are offered in a two-pack that includes an all-black character and a chrome or gold iteration. The releases for this Saturday, May 18th keep piling up over here at Wish. This specific release comes in the form of the Nike Air Max 1 EM “Rio”. This runner is dressed in a vibrant Turquoise hue, traced with Electric Green. Constructed from a mix of mesh and leather, the shoe features accents of Orange throughout the upper, which sits atop a speckled Sand midsole. This shoe will be retailing for $110 USD this Saturday.

Nike Barkley Posite Max – Court Purple/Team Orange “Phoenix Suns” | 5/18

2013 has already seen a range of releases from the Nike Barkley Posite Max camp. The latest installment arrives via the form of the Court Purple/Team Orange edition that is aptly touted as the “Phoenix Suns” version. Paying obvious homage to Sir Charles’ tenure playing for the Phoenix Suns, this particular execution was designed under the direction of celebrated Nike Design Director, Marc Dolce. Situated atop an ice blue outsole, the predominantely Court Purple upper sees a juxtaposition of minimal nubuck paneling alongside a croc-like print that is reminiscent of Barkley’s “Godzilla” Commercial. Rounded out with a speckled midsole, Team Orange accents and multi-colored laces, the upcoming Barkley Posite Max will release through Wish on May 18. Retail is set at $235 USD.

OriginalFake KAWS Companion “Passing Through” Black & Grey Figures

Despite the announcement that they would be shutting down their operations after seven years of successful business, celebrated street artist KAWS and his OriginalFake imprint have been steadily rolling out new Medicom figures throughout 2013. The latest debut arrives in the form of the recognizable “Passing Through” Companion figure. Offered up in two colorways – all-black and tonal grey – each somber character is seen perched with its head in its hands. The “Passing Through” Companion is something that KAWS has frequently returned to, having seen exposure most notably in the ongoing larger Companion statue traveling exhibition as seen in Atlanta’s former, “Down Time” installation.
