Coming Soon: Black Scale x adidas Consortium 2014 Winter Collection

adidas is continuing its onslaught of epic collaborations by teaming up with Black Scale for a new winter capsule collection. The capsule features two different silhouettes; the adidas ZX 700 and the adidas forum. Drawing directly from the image that was released last month to tease the sneakers, both shoes feature a colored camo print. While the adidas ZX 700 contains contrasting colored camo across the entire model, the high top forums only make use of the print along the toe area. In addition to teaming up with adidas, Black Scale has released joint shoes with Timberland and Gourmet in 2014.

adidas Original Forum Hi OG & “Black Ostrich”

adidas Originals keeps the retro heat coming like they have all year long with the reintroduction of the Forum Hi. The classic high-top hoops model from 1984 reemerges in true OG form, with this one-to-one remake of the iconic silhouette. It features a premium leather construction with the original color block in white with royal blue accents. To complete the pack, the adidas Forum Hi also sees an all black ostrich look with trimmed tongue and gold branding that highlights the shoe 30 years of existence.

Coming Soon: adidas Originals ZX Casual Mid Black/Red

The mid-top silhouette with hints of the ZX 500 and ZX 8000 receives a black suede upper with accents in red and white for a casual hiking boot color palette on the vintage-inspired casual sneaker boot. adidas Originals continues to shed light on the ZX series. Alongside the releases of the O.G. ZX 420 and ZX 8000, the ZX 550 becomes the next sneaker in the archive. Originally dropped in 1986, the vintage silhouette returns for the fall/winter seasons. Featuring a white mesh base, black suede overlays, and leather detailing on its side panels and heel counter. Big Sean x adidas Originals Collection

Upon the success of the “Detroit Player” Pro Models, Big Sean has been greatly reconized by his break thorugh efforts into the world of fashion and footwear. Approching the D-Towns third launch, the Big Sean x adidas Originals Metro Attitude is influenced by his recent recordings in Hawaii. Feautring a floral theme, accented with a snakeskin pattern around the collar, a lion patch is also seen on the backside of the tongue. This tropical twist compliments the “Superstar” Track Jacket shown in the inside panel and the floral Trefoil t-shirt. Coming Soon: Packer Shoes x adidas Originals EQT Running Support ’93 “Micropacer”

2014 marks the 30th anniverary of the iconic adidas Micropacer runner in addition to Packer Shoes’ 10th anniversary. Celebrating this occasion, the two have teamed up to release the EQT Running Support ’93 “Micropacer,” a sneaker heavily influenced by the Micropacer’s OG colorway. The upper is composed of a mix of metallic Kangaroo leather and suede, with blue accents taking on the vamp, eyelets and heel. The bold make-up is complemented by an orange heel counter and adidas’s Torison system and midsole, which allows for shock-absorption and cushioning. Yohji Yamamoto has made his name in the sneaker world from creating audacious, forward thinking designs. This latest drop namechecks one of Three Stripes’ true classics, the Rod Laver. adidas Raf Simmons Bounce “Camo”

After reminiscing over retro trail runners, Raf Simmons points out the “Bounce” on his latest adidas collaboration. Using the millenial model as a canvas, Raf redresses the upper in a camouflage and navy leather, baring pronounced trim similar to his previous takes with the Three stripes. Translucent pink cushioning sees the tech on the trimming, finishing this casual oriented kick in juxtaposed fashion.

When it comes to Yohji Yamamoto’s adidas Y-3 line, the Qasa High is regarded as one of the most popular models around, For this upcoming release, the sock-like silhouette sports a stealthy blacked out appearance. With its entire build dressed in all black, a dash of luxury can be seen by the leather detailing on the toe and heel with black waxed laces adding to the finishing touches. Continuing its steadily growing list of collaborators, adidas Originals has teamed up with the good folks at Club 75 for a fall/winter capsule collection. Inspired by the popularity of sports and team apparel in the label’s home of Paris, Club 75 has created a small but fun collection featuring new takes on archival adidas logos. Sticking primarily to monochrome color combinations, the collection features tees, long-sleeved tees, and sweatpants.

Rick Owens x Adidas “Tech Runner” 2014 Spring/Summer

After a successful launch in the beginning of the year, the adidas by Rick Owens Tech Runner is back in motion. Highly conceptual in execution, the new silhouette is inspired by stealth bombers and features premium suede and leather, combined with an innovative neoprene fit. The midsole is constructed of a one-piece EVA with the designer’s signature full-length serrated rubber outsole. Additional details include perforated “Three Stripes” branding and Rick Owens’ signature on the heel strike as well as the adidas Style Globe logo.

Designer Raf Simons presents the Summer 2014 with the adidas Originals Stan Smith. Staying true to its restrained, minimal design, Raf Simons have added some flourish to give the shoe a fresh new look, most notable with the vibrant all orange model. Decked out in orange leather, the shoe features a tonal suede heel patch, perforated “R” logo, and debossed “RAF SIMONS” logo on the back of the shoe.

Wish x adidas “Independent Currency” Launch Event Recap

Last week we teamed up with adidas Originals to celebrate the release of our SL Loop Runner “Independent Currency” shoe. Set to sounds from DJ Don Cannon, our Moreland Avenue location was transformed with full-sized adidas window displays and real $2 bills in the floor. With a sold-out RSVP list and a line out the door, the guests who arrived early were given a chance to buy the shoes before anyone else and received a free tee with purchase. Quenching the thirst of the attendees, a full bar was provided featuring beverages by D’usse and Dos Equis. Along with an animated photo booth by Smilebooth and an appearance by the $2 Bill Man himself, Steven Reisman, the store was filled with all of the support the city had to offer. A Closer Look Inside The Wish x adidas Originals Installation

Gearing up to introduce our collaboration with adidas Originals, we are celebrating the launch of the SL Loop Runner, “Independent Currency,” with a release event on July 3rd. We are excited to take you on a tour of the new adidas Originals graphic install that commemorates the concept of the sneakers. Featuring the currency theme seen on the pair, the exterior windows and door are decked out with the model name and $2 bill graphics. As you take a step inside, real money covers the glass flooring, details from the sneaker are on the column and the actual shoe is featured in a shadow box. Originally known as the KBII in 1998, adidas has released a new and improved “Crazy 2.” Layered with a synthetic upper lighter than its predecessor, an underlaid three-stripe branding is seen with heritage EQT lines and an adiPrene cushioning setup.
