Jordan Brand kicks off the 2014 retro releases with a fresh rendition of the Air Jordan 10. Another masterful creation from Tinker Hatfield’s design legacy, this iteration sees the wavy panels of the Air Jordan 10 sporting grey, blue and orange colors. The full-grain leather upper is accented with a soft navy at the lace loops and tongue, tied together with light blue laces. Following the successful return of the Kamikaze II in 2013, Reebok Classics aims to repeat by releasing the original Kamikaze in 2014. The first release will be the “Sonics” colorway, worn by Shawn Kemp during the 1994-1995 NBA season. This sneaker sees classic 90s Reebok counterblocking in white and black, accented by Seattle-inspired hits of dark green. Be on the lookout for this truly OG release coming soon to Wish.
Reebok has been stirring up some nostalgia as of late, bringing back signature shoe models from Allen Iverson, Shawn Kemp, and Shaquille O’Neal. Reebok Classics will continue this streak by turning to the “Big Dog” Glenn Robinson, who laced up The Rail in 1996. Robinson’s first Reebok signature model returns in the OG “Milwaukee Bucks” colorway, consisting of a black nubuck base, olive green underlay and purple overlays. Nike Sportswear keeps up the momentum in the trainer arena with the return of Deion Sanders’ signature Nike Air DT Max ’96 model. Coming to us with a flashier look than last fall’s Primetime release, this iteration of the classic shoe sees an upper split between a black suede and a translucent silver material, giving the shoe a holographic flare. The athletic equipment brand CORDURA returns with a new colorway in collaboration with Reebok. As for its build, the early ’90s mainstay is constructed with a durable CORDURA fabric as well as synthetic and leather overlays to cover the classic Pump Omni Lite silhouette. To round out the 103 holiday season, Nike chooses the Lebron XI to extend the popular Dunkman theme. What appears to be the green colorway option, multiple shades of the muted hue have been utilized throughout the Hyperposite upper. Dropping in time to finish out the holiday season is a brand new collaboration between Chicago-based Saint Alfred and New Balance. The two brands come together, utilizing the New Balance 1500 as a canvas. The collaborative sneaker sees a predominately red makeup on ballistic nylon mesh and long-grain suede while a contrasting white midsole and gum rubber outsole appear below. This new colorway, dubbed the “Black Infared” features some characteristics that stay true to the original including allover elephant print, premium materials, and leather lining. For the Holiday season, Sole Collector‘s latest collaboration with Nike has given Gary Payton’s signature Air Zoom Flight “The Glove” a fresh new look. Designed with the original Seattle Supersonics colors in mind, this colorway features a green “Sonic Wave” graphic covering the zippered shroud. Unzipping the shroud reveals the tour yellow upper and the shoe’s signature rib-like Monkey Paw tech.
