Russ Karablin, founder of the streetwear empire SSUR, unveils its latest Holiday 2014 collection of its sub-brand SSUR*PLUS. The collection features inspiration imbued with distinct military undercurrents. Those markers are seen in the various military-inspired outerwear and beanies as hats, as well as graphic tees and fleece hoodies. The goods are made for guerrilla warfare in the Instagram age, even if the only battle you’re fighting is on the front lines of personal style.

Yesterday, we had the amazing opportunity to host the one and only Big Boi as he released his collaborative pieces with streetwear brands SSUR and CLOT. An Outkast fan’s dream, Big Boi was present in full effect to pose for pictures, autograph everything from classic Stankonia vinyls to large ATL flags, and promote his collab items. Big Boi for SSUR & CLOT In-store Release Event

With the long awaited reunion of the legendary Hip Hop duo Outkast finally taking place, Big Boi is shining brighter than ever before. He’s recently caught the attention of two of the biggest names in streatwear, SSUR and CLOT, who have gotten together with the rap icon to produce collaborative gear. First up is CLOT, who produced a new line of soccer jerseys, influenced equally by Coachella and Outkast’s “Bombs Over Baghdad.” Following the trend, SSUR produced a capsule collection of snapbacks in black, red and dark green camouflage emblazoned with bold Big Boi and ATLANTA text branding.

To celebrate the release of both collaborations, we will have Big Boi live at our Moreland Ave. location to meet his fans and promote the release. So if you want to meet Big Boi, or pick up any of the collaborative gear, swing by the shop this Thursday, May 8th from 6 – 8 p.m.

SSUR 2013 Spring/Summer “Coco Made Me Do It” Black T-Shirt

SSUR and it’s various sublabels have built a strong reputation off the back of logo flipping and tongue-in-cheek verbiage. The latest phrase that has been catching fire for the New York street label is the “COCO MADE ME DO IT” motif. Previously mocked up in a white on black version or an Asia-exclusive pink on black version, SSUR introduces an all-black-everything iteration today. Retail for the tee is set at $40 USD and stock is limited.

Futura x SSUR 2013 Spring/Summer T-Shirts

After successfully collaborating with both Black Scale and Been Trill, SSUR’s Russ Karablin enlists another heavyweight for his more recent collaboration. This time, one of the most recognizable street artists in streetwear, Futura, brings his signature handwritten style to a full capsule with the New York brand. Building mass anticipation since preview images hit the internet earlier this year, two of the tees from this collection are now available at Wish. Stay tuned for more releases from the collection arriving soon.

SSUR 2013 Spring/Summer Peace Desert Snapback

The SSUR imprint has come a long way since the early re-appropriations of COMME des GARCONS and the days of the early days of the Caviar Cartel. As the brand continues to expand and gain exposure, Spring/Summer 2013 sees the New York-based label releases new executions of their staple pieces and visuals. Aptly titled, the Peace Desert Snapback boasts an all-over print desert camouflage motif across the entirety of the hat while subdued black Arabic typeface is seen embroidered along the front two crowns. Rounded out with red stitching along the side panels and a plastic snapback enclosure, the Peace Desert Snapback is now available in-store and through our online shop here.

SSUR 2013 Spring/Summer Collection Editorial

To accentuate SSUR’s great Spring/Summer ’13 line, we went out and put together a special editorial. The SSUR brand, which is the creator Ruslan Karablin’s name, RUSS, spelled backwards, hints to his Russian heritage. Drawing inspiration from imperial art, Keith Haring, and Stussy, Karablin’s brand has steadily been on the rise in the past few years due to endorsements by A$AP Rocky, Kendrick Lamar and the huge cult popularity of the COMME de FUCKDOWN pieces. Rooted in SSUR’s usual clean and minimal asthetic, this specific drop features a variety of snapbacks, hoodies, tees, and tanks.
