The Nike Barkley Posite Max looks to be making a return in 2014 as we get a first look at a new Premium-level model dubbed “USA.” The latest installment arrives via from the form of the American flag inspired theme that is aptly touted towards the “stars and stripes.” Featuring stars perforations on the upper, replacing the circular holes associated with the Nike Air Max CB ’94. The sockliner also features the “USA” graphic seen in the Air Force 1 and Blazer Mid releases.
Nike brings another playful rendition to its Air Raid (GS) and Terminator High with this “Jungle Gym” theme. Utilizing the classic, old-school silhouette, the upper is mocked up in black and grey, with “Jungle Gym” patterns in both shoe. Following up on the newly released Nike Air Tech Challenge Hybrid, Nike is back with a new look in the latest Tech Challenge series just in time for the Wimbledon Tournament in London. Fusing four generations of Andre Agassi signature models, the latest rendition follows much of the same 90’s-inspired aesthetic with florescent color scheme on a much darker backdrop than previous showcase. The “Wimbledon” features a white, green, and wolf grey color scheme, while the “Black” is mocked up in a white, pink, and varsity purple colorway. The newest edition of the ‘Nike Little Posite One (GS)’ family is the upcoming “Concord.” Featuring a white leather upper with black Foamposite overlays, the pair sits atop a translucent outsole. The Nike Air Max Bo Jax presents a new direction for Bo Jackson’s classic line of Nike models. Presenting a different colorway, the shoe sees a pink and teal tint that has already garned plenty of “South Beach” comparisons. Drawing inspiration from previous “Bo” models, the midsole mimics the Air Trainer 3, the cross strap is taken from the Air Trainer 1, and the swoosh from the Nike Air Trainer SC. Nike unveils an all new model under the Kevin Durant seal. First up for the silhouette is the Nike KD VII “USA” colorway, which doubles as a patriotic tribute for the 4th of July and a fine option for Kevin Durant’s international play this summer. A somewhat casual shoe, the mid-foot strap makes for a good fit both on and off the court. Graphic detailing distinguishes the tongue lining and forefoot branding, while Foamposite material wraps around the heel. Be on the lookout for this pioneer release coming soon to Wish.
The Nike Air Tech Challenge Hybrid “Chilling Red” sees a Kanye color blocking motif on the tennis mash-up. Featuring a red nubuck upper, contrast is seen in the black trim and laces, while splatter graphics and ball branding provide nostalgia. Similar to the Yeezy 2, an icy outsole is seen from the Air Tech Challenge to complete the look.
After classics like the Air Force 1, nearly every recognizable Nike silhouettes has been remodeled with Lunarlon technology. Borrowing one of its counterpart’s original colorways, white/grey/red find themselves paired in a familiar arrangement on the reworked mesh upper. Shanghai is the latest city to receive the Nike Sportswear treatment in a long of quick strike city themed releases featuring the LunarFly 306 and the Footscape Woven Motion. Rather than being influenced by the connections to the namesake city found in the previous designs such as the London and New York Packs, Nike highlights the vibrant Shanghai nightlife with a glow-in-the-dark outsole and iridescent heel tab for the Footscape Motion model. After being named NBA’s MOst Valuable Player this year, Kevin Durant ascension to one of the world’s top athetes comes as no surprise to Nike Basketball, who signed him in 2007. His journey inspired the KD VI shoe, originally launched with an event at Durants’s childhood rec center, the Seat Pleasant Activity Center, which he still views as his home away from home.
