Established in 2001, Japanese fashion visionary Yohji Yamamoto came together with adidas to create something that had never been seen before. Born out of the desire to make sportswear elegant and chic, what resulted of the collaboration was iconic brand, Y-3. The ‘Y’ stands for Yohji Yamamoto, the ‘3’ represents adidas’ three signature stripes and the ‘-‘ signifies the bond between the two.  

For 2014 Spring, the duo produces yet another classic line. Consisting of tees, button-down shirts, shorts, and pants, this collection pushes sportswear to to the limit with its utilization of unique and premium materials. The line also sees a nice range of footwear which compliments the look and feel of the apparel.

The Melody Ehsani x Reebok Classic Pump Omni Lite “Love Me or Leave Me Alone” brings a special makeover to the Dunk Contest classic. Extending the legendary signature line of Sir Charles Barkley, Nike Sportswear reimagined the Air Force Max CB 2 in an all-new Hyperfuse-based silhouette. The shoe sees University Red handling the shoe’s synthetic upper and cross-straps, with black working the Hyperfuse side panels and toe box. For the Women’s Lunarelite Sky Hi Black/Volt Nike decided to pump up the height of a regular Lunar sole, tart it up in a black and fluorescent yellow and stick it under a classic running upper, creating something new and dynamic. Vans Classics brings a treat with a special three-piece capsule collection in celebration of the Chinese Zodiac Year of the Horse. The “Year of the Horse” Sk8-Hi sees a lavish faux horse hair upper with suede overlays in three nice colors – chilli pepper red, cherry blossom pink, navy, and black. The sneaker is peppered with an array of noteworthy details such as a tapered tan-colored leather heel counter that extends to the topline, matching tan waxed laces, and a special Year of the Horse label sewed onto the tongue and stamped onto the insert. Nike honors Black History Month for the fourth year in a row with a collection of well-crafted sneakers in predominately black, gold and purple colorways. This range is meant to serve as a reminder that athletes around the world representing the Nike brand have all at some point been inspired by the “legacy of Pan-African achievement.” The collection is held together by the theme of Sport Royalty and is a homage to Nike’s kings and queens of sport, including LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Maya Moore and Allyson Felix amongst others. Spring 2014 brings us a nice new shipment of Vans Era models from its California Collection. Utilizing high quality materials and unique patterns that we are accustomed to seeing from Vans, this trio of releases stands out for its use of orange pig suede along with Cheetah and Camo print. The Vans Era 59 CA Pig Suede Orange Rust features a pig suede build treated with Scotchgard to be water resistant. Putting a modern twist on trending patterns, Vans also includes the Era CA Ombre Dyed Cheetah and Camo. The dyeing process is done by hand and creates a slight density fade over each pair. The premium material palette showcases brushed twill uppers, classic silver eyelets, waxed round laces and leather hang flag branding.
