adidas Womens 2013 Spring/Summer Basket Profi Up “Snakeskin”

Sneakers sure have come a long way. While some fusions have gone very wrong through the years, the trend of blurring the lines between wedge/heel and sneaker has – generally speaking – been done very well. The latest model up on the docket arrives from mainstay brand adidas as the company has unveiled the “Basket Profi Up.” Featuring a recognizable, enlarged rear platform section, this particular pair is mocked up in a luxe snakeskin execution. Tonal white and light grey characterizes the majority of the animal print upper while contrasting patent leather plays a role in the iconic Three Stripes, tongue tag and interior lining. Retailing for $95 USD, these are now available in-store and online.

Nike Flyknit Lunar1+ – Gym Red/Black-Pure Platinum

Of the many successful colorways from Nike’s Flyknit models, one of the colors that seems to always do well are red executions. After seeing the Flyknit Chukka in “University Red” sell out virtually overnight, Nike drops off its latest lowtop Flyknit Lunar1+ in a murderous “Gym Red” iteration. Situated atop a pure whit Lunar outsole, hits of Pure Platinum are noticeable in the Lunar midsole compartment while Gym Red makes up the entire knitted upper. Hits of Black play a part in the Swoosh and Flywire lines while the interior is finished off in matching red. Retail for these hits at $160 USD.

The Air Jordan 1 is a model that seems to withstand the test of time. It seems that regardless of what colorway, what retro and what precise silhouette (Mid or High) the model is just a mainstay. For Spring/Summer 2013, Air Jordan rolls out a super clean and minimal execution of the Air Jordan 1 Mid in White/White and Cool Grey. As expected the ultra-minimalist shoe sees tonal white throughout the entire upper, midsole, outsole and interior lining with a subtle hit of Cool Grey seen along the upper tongue. White stitching throughout the shoe rounds things out. The shoes are priced at $105 USD and are now available in-store through our Moreland Ave. location.

A Closer Look: Play Cloths x Saucony Shadow 5000 “Cotton Candy” Pack

Originally previewed yesterday on our blog, Play Cloths and Saucony today release their collaborative Shadow 5000 “Cotton Candy” Pack through Wish. We took the pairs outside of the shop this morning to get a closer look at the executions, materials and the trio of colorways that the duo have created. From the supple suede uppers and the gum outsole, the shoes strike a nice balance between the graphic-driven nature of Pusha T’s Play Cloths imprint, with the iconic running silhouette and history of the Saucony Shadow 5000 model.

Slated to release tomorrow, Tuesday 6/11, Play Cloths readies its latest footwear collaboration alongside Saucony. Tapping the iconic Shadow 5000 model, the CLIPSE-backed label has worked up a trio of pastel colorways that is being touted as the “Cotton Candy Pack.” Each of the shoes rests atop a traditional gum outsole and pure white midsole while hits of matching brown are strewn throughout on the lace locks and rear heel guard. Tonal buttery suede characterizes the pairs while matching laces and a light tan colorway is lined throughout the interior and footbed.

Nike Air Max Lebron X Low – University Red/Pure Platinum/Stadium Grey | 6/15

Arriving at perhaps one of the most ideal times of the year, Nike readies its latest Lebron James signature shoe iteration this Saturday amidst the Miami Heat’s NBA Finals run. Branded as the “University Red/Pure Platinum/Stadium Grey” colorway, the Nike Air Max Lebron X Low arrives with hits of Flywire throughout the side panels as well as hints of Stadium Grey throughout. The shoe is predominantely mocked up in the muted University Red and is situated atop the signature Air Max midsole compartment. As Lebron and the Miami Heat prep for tonight’s NBA Finals run against the San Antonio Spurs, his Nike footwear imprint is readying a special Lebron X P.S. Elite for this Saturday, June 8. Branded as the “Fiberglass” motif, the pair boasts a predominantly neon Total Crimson upper that is juxtaposed with hits of Volt across the laces, Swoosh and Air unit midsole. Elsewhere, the well-executed black carbon fiber panels are enveloped across the rear side panel and midsole. A grey and black speckled sole and splattered insole lining round out this release. Vans 2013 Spring/Summer “True Blue Inca”

Every summer, Vans takes strides to re-introduce its staple silhouettes in a variety of season-appropriate colorways, patterns and materials. Having experimented with a similar Inca iteration a few seaons ago for its Vault tier, Vans today brings forward a Sk8-Hi player amidst its classic lineup. Bearing the bold motif along the upper quilted side panels, the shoe is mocked up in a buttery “True Blue” suede that envelopes both the stitched toebox as well as the rear heel, lace vamps and tongue. Hits of “Inca” orange also play their role throughout the design seeing placement along the tongue tag, footbed and the iconic Old Skool side stripe. Further augmenting the premium execution of the shoe, black leather lines the interior of the shoe. Those in the market can expect an affordable $65 USD price tag.

Nike Free Inneva Woven “Squadron Blue”

Nike’s upper construction methods have been taking decidedly unique routes as of late. From the wildly successful Lunar Flyknit Chukka debuts to the infusion of Flywire technologies across their entire product line, the latest heavyweight is in the form of the Free Inneva Woven. Arriving today at the shop in a special “Squadron Blue” colorway, the pair is treated in a thick woven upper and juxtaposed with a Neon Turqoise hit across the laces. A mild tan hue in leather rounds out the interior lining and things are capped off by a clean, pure white Free 5.0 outsole. The Nike Free Inneva Woven in Squadron Blue retails for $180 USD.

Nike 2013 Lunar Flyknit Chukka “Wolf Grey”

In addition to adding the Dark Obsidian and Tarp Green installments to our stock, Nike rolls out another colorway of its celebrated Lunar Flyknit Chukka via the “Wolf Grey” execution. Positioned on top of an all-white Lunar outsole, the pair is made up of the trademark knitted Flyknit upper that is complemented by hits of bold red across the Swoosh and Flywire inserts. Tonal laces, a tonal tongue and a contrasting red footbed are the final elements that round out this clean and minimal execution. Those in the market are now available through Wish for a retail tag of $170 USD.
