Reviving the memory of a defining basketball legend, adidas Originals presents a new footwear release modeled for Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. This iteration is dubbed “The Blueprint” as a nod to the Kareem’s illustrious career as a philanthropist and six-time world champion. adidas Originals composed the shoe with a special blue Tyvek layer at the upper, giving a textural reiteration of the ‘blueprint’ concept. The interior features printed graphics from modern players such as Derrick Rose, John Wall and Damien Lillard who are influenced by Abdul-Jabbar’s game. White stitching and laces around the upper completing this instant classic which is available now at Wish.

Coming Soon: The Run-DMC x Keith Haring x adidas Originals “Christmas in Hollis” Superstar 80s

In 1987, influential hip-hop group RUN-D.M.C. released “Christmas in Hollis” as the first single for A Very Special Christmas compilation albums with cover art work by Keith Harring. Adidas Originals will be releasing a special edition “Christmas in Hollis” superstar 80’s for the holidays, Featuring a simple black textile upper with suede accents such as zigzag-cut stripes and collar trim as well as a red leather tongue patch (which features a recreation of Harring’s artwork) and branded insole. adidas Originals reaches back into its archive for a two pack Americana Hi 88 for Fall/Winter 2013. The pair builds on the same timeless, 1970s basketball silhouette draping the entire upper of both shoes in a supple, tonal suede. Two colors – “Gold Rod” and “Res Red” are offered up this time and set atop pure white outsoles. In addition to the matching glossy lace eyelets and tonal red piping and laces, contrasting gold foil is seen emblazoned along the side profile and tongue hit.

After already seeing a release from the Opening Ceremony x adidas Originals camp for the Fall/Winter 2013 season in the form of the OC BBALL Collection, the wildly successful collaboration bares yet another brilliant piece. Embodying a more nature-inspired theme than the previous collection, the Opening Ceremony x adidas Originals “Enforcer Rock” holds up to its name with a large, high top body and an oversized tongue displaying the adidas imprint. Suited for outdoor activity, the durable Wheat colored upper sits atop a thick Black sole. With hits of Maroon located on the side panels and upper heel, thick Teal rope laces hold everything together.

Opening Ceremony x adidas Originals 2013 Fall/Winter “BBALL” Collection

For Fall/Winter 2013 Humberto Leon and Carol Lim and their Opening Ceremony imprint have aligned yet again with adidas Originals for a fashion-meets-sport iteration. Perhaps the most fully integrated between the two realms, the collection is being touted as the “BBALL” collection and sees a cheeky all-over print paisley pattern that is crafted from an unconventional Basketball influence. The trio of arrivals from the Top Ten Bball as well as two colorways of the Pro Model Bball. The Pro Model Bball executions see augmented double zippers along the lace vamps as well as patent leather Three Stripes and the customary paisley print.

COMING SOON: Big Sean x adidas Originals Pro Model II “Hall of Fame”

Big Sean has done a good job of branching outside the confines of his music trade and into the world of fashion and footwear. While the Detroit-based artist has been making inroads on his own clothing brand, Sean has also managed to align with adidas Originals for the release of a special Pro Model II “Hall of Fame” edition. Donning an all-black faux scale composition, the pair is made from black leathers and is rounded out with a customary shelltoe. An embossed metal plate on the side panel reads “PRO MODEL” while the tonal Three Stripes finish things off adidas style. Stay tuned for these to release very soon through Wish.

Amidst the celebrated adidas Originals pantheon of footwear product, the ZX running lineup has always been highly revered. As the brand moves swiftly through 2013, adidas Originals introduces a new execution known as the T-ZX Runner “Blast Purple.” As the colorway title would imply, the shoe arrives in a slightly reflectiv, “Blast Purple” soft synthetic upper and resides atop a translucent undersole. Elsewhere, black nubuck panels, laces and heel midsole finish off the shoe with its original technology and aesthetics. The adidas Originals T-ZX Runner in “Blast Purple” is now available from Wish for a retail tag of $120 USD.

adidas Originals Mens New Arrivals Now Available

After already releasing a brand new trio of models earlier this week by way of its ongoing adidas Originals by Jeremy Scott collaboration, adidas is back with another triple release in various models. Featuring a Gazelle II model in Blast Emerald and a ZX 700 model in Running White, this arrival brings along a new model by adidas. The Roundhouse Instinct in Blast Emerald/Running White is one of the first of its kind, fusing the Roundhouse and the EQT Instinct models, sporting reversible and removable straps at the upper. With a predominately Emerald upper, the sneaker is  also accented with Orange and Running White along the trim as well as on the laces and speckled along the straps.

For the collection, the duo aligned to curate a range of outdoor-inspired pieces that are finished off with a hike-boot style footwear option. From a cut and sew crewneck, two-tone sweater to matching sweat bottoms, the purple and turqoise collection is finished off with the “Rock Moccasin” shoes.

Coming Soon: adidas Originals by mastermind JAPAN 2013 Summer Collection

mastermind JAPAN has often found a welcome canvas in a wide assortment of adidas Originals pieces. For Spring/Summer 2013, the celebrated Japanese street label re-aligns with adidas Originals for a footwear collection. Employing the Superstar 80s, Rivalry Hi, and the Pro Model CF, each of the shoes is treated in a butter full grain leather upper and positioned atop a white outsole. Perforations and textured midsole sections define much of the design white tonal laces, contrasting foiled mastermind JAPAN branding and white mastermind lace caps finish things off. The adidas Originals by mastermind JAPAN 2013 summer collection will be available soon for a limited time in extremely small quantities.

Just in by adidas Orginals for the New Year! Starting it off right with a classic black and white Forum Mid that you really can’t go wrong with – retail is set at $90 USD. The second pair are a little more elaborate, featuring a tan suede and nylon mesh mixture with a red outsole and a matching heel tassle. Retail is set at $100 USD. The third pair are another classic for the new year featuring a predominantly white leather upper with a mixture of blue and red Three Stripes which are also retailing for $90 USD. All three pairs of the adidas Orginal Forum Mid silhouettes are now available at our Moreland Ave. store location as well as our online-store.

Resurrecting a range of classic silhouettes, adidas Originals unveils its Spring 2012 “adi-Archive” pack. We just put a few styles online and in-store and the classic and iconic silhouettes speak volumes of the rich adidas footwear archives. A range of suedes, leathers, and nylons comprise the classic styles. the Marathon 88 in white is now available for a retail of $90 USD. The Malmö in “Marine” is mocked up with a gum outsole and contrasted with green Three Stripes a heel tab arriving with a tag of $95 USD. Rounding out the trio a Tobacco sihouette arrives in a supple “Tan Blend” upper with tonal striping and heel hit. Retail for the Tobacco is set at $90 USD. All three styles are now available in our online store!

To say we’re stoked about the forthcoming release of the adidas Originals x Leader Forum Mid Moccassin would be an understatement. Not only are the Chicago-based shop owners and designers good friends, but they also know what works when it comes to footwear. Having been in the streetwear and sneaker world since 2002, their eye for aesthetic and timeless footwear stylings is undeniable. We took the pairs out for a little shoot during some down time here at the office to give you guys a closer look. Make sure you hit up our online store or Moreland Ave to pick these up when they drop this Saturday, December 24 for a retail of $140 USD.
