For Autumn / Winter 2016, RAINS draws inspiration from the concept of ’layers’. With a growing individualism and cultural diversity occurring in our societies, it is only natural that we embrace and adopt new lifestyles, especially within fashion.In AW16 the concept of layers is an inspirational source, that can be viewed from many perspectives. Wearing layers of clothing with rainwear is common in the cold north, and an ambition is to create a global awareness of this possibility. Using jackets upon jackets calls for a consideration of the spaciousness of the styles, which is why a new range of oversize jackets has entered the collection. On another level, the new color range draws inspiration from the more ethnic layers of our nordic societies, realizing that rainwear is needed all across the world.
