LA Based Noon Goons was created by Kurt Narmore in 2016. The brand is immensely inspired the Narmore’s roots in skate and surf. A “noon goon” is in fact a term for tourists that show up to the beach at noon, after all the real surfers have left for the day to work their day jobs.
Driven by funky prints, cozy outerwear, and graphic T-shirts, this brand is sure to catch eyes. Los Angeles street and surf culture is a well known fashion catalyst, and Narmore does a great job staying authentic to the culture, as he still operates in that community to keep the grassroots feel alive. The addition of industry veteran Sam Jarou (formerly of Comme des Garcons) as creative director has helped take the brand from the streets of LA to Dover Street Market.
Stemming from longstanding relationships with Chinatown Market and its creator, Wish is excited to announce a collaborative capsule with the brand.
The “Thank You” capsule is a nod to the city, its community and culture.

This past weekend the Wish team embarked on a trip to the “Windy City” to experience a midsummer celebration of fashion, art, and music brought to us by ComplexCon. This edition of ComplexCon was special because this is the first time that they branched out of their usual Long Beach location, in hopes of drawing a more universal crowd. Chicago itself has produced many of the industry’s leading hype generators such as Kanye West, Virgil Abloh, Jerry Lorenzo, Don C and even the GOAT himself, Michael Jordan.
Chicago played host to thousands of eager enthusiasts of all ages ready to get their hands on some exclusive items and fully immerse themselves in all things “cool.” There was a huge representation of Takashi Murikami’s work, along with a number of exclusive pop-up shops. Puma and Reebok definitely made their presence felt with two great activations keeping the masses engaged. Chinatown Market had a great showing as well.
Some notable releases during the event included the Nike Atmos Air Max 1 “Animal 3.0” pack, The Eric Emanuel “Iverson’s”, and the surprise drop of the yellow Nike FOG 1’s. There were a number of good panels featuring industry heavyweights Jon Wexler, Steve Stoute, Joe La Puma, PJ Tucker, T.I. and Killer Mike.
The most special part of the weekend was the attention that ComplexCon shed on Chicago and its up-and-coming culture. Bobby Hundreds and creator of “The Chi”, Lena Waithe, showcased their varsity inspired collection, Chicago stalwart Joe Freshgoods also made an impressive showing with 3 of his brands being represented almost front and center to festival goers. There were also a number of awesome visual artists from the Chicago area, dope upstart brands and local Chicago eateries on tap.
If you’re in the Chicago area, definitely swing by the Museum of Contemporary Art and check out the Virgil Abloh “Figures of Speech” exhibition before it ends September 22, 2019.
Overall, ComplexCon Chicago was a great time. We are looking forward to Long Beach.

As the weather continues to cool, and leaves change, we find ourselves in the midst of football season. In light of this, we would like to introduce our own mascot, the Moreland Panthers. The collection was inspired by vintage team logos from the 1970’s and features our signature panther mascot. For this first drop, the set comes equipped with a hoodie, long sleeve tee, and t-shirts. Also featured in the collection are a duo of hats displaying the panther head on the front and Wish logo on the back. All of the tops feature our panther mascot holding a football and would be a great way to rep for Wish or to show your appreciation for the sport. Look for entire collection to release in-store and online Tuesday, November 10th.
