Yesterday, we had the amazing opportunity to host the one and only Big Boi as he released his collaborative pieces with streetwear brands SSUR and CLOT. An Outkast fan’s dream, Big Boi was present in full effect to pose for pictures, autograph everything from classic Stankonia vinyls to large ATL flags, and promote his collab items. With the long awaited reunion of the legendary Hip Hop duo Outkast finally taking place, Big Boi is shining brighter than ever before. He’s recently caught the attention of two of the biggest names in streatwear, SSUR and CLOT, who have gotten together with the rap icon to produce collaborative gear. First up is CLOT, who produced a new line of soccer jerseys, influenced equally by Coachella and Outkast’s “Bombs Over Baghdad.” Following the trend, SSUR produced a capsule collection of snapbacks in black, red and dark green camouflage emblazoned with bold Big Boi and ATLANTA text branding.
To celebrate the release of both collaborations, we will have Big Boi live at our Moreland Ave. location to meet his fans and promote the release. So if you want to meet Big Boi, or pick up any of the collaborative gear, swing by the shop this Thursday, May 8th from 6 – 8 p.m.
Utilizing new materials and colors for this collaborative edition, CLOT and adidas bring us a limited edition variant to add to the ongoing Stan Smith collection. The return of adidas‘s iconic Stan Smith silhouette has garnered widespread appreciation from the worldwide sneaker community with this year’s re-launch. For this iteration, the Stan Smith model receives a darker look with a black upper and gold panels along with a hit of branding recognizing the Hong Kong-based label on the heel.

It’s so good when the coasts come together. As the Summer season comes to an end, West Coast juggernaut The Hundreds and East Coast powerhouse CLOT combine to produce an America-themed collection. Making a satirical play on the America aesthetic of the 80s by fusing it with symbols of Chinese culture like red stars, lotus flowers, and even dim sum, the two brands end up with a fun, light-hearted collection, ironically celebrating both interdependent nations.
