When Adidas and Rick Owens announced its collaboration two years ago, the footwear and high fashion world took notice. Highly conceptual in execution, the most noticeable feature of this collection is the highly elevated futuristic silhouette crafted out of leather and nylon that incorporates inspirations from both high fashion and performance footwear. The range will feature multiple looks for the silhouette including the Fox Orange and Earth Green colorway.
Safari print has been a staple since the mid-1980s. Born on the Air Safari and deriving from the mind of Tinker Hatfield, the timeless print now makes its way to the legendary Air Presto. The new design takes inspiration from the ‘Safari’ Air Max 1 B, with a printed upper, dual color eyestay and gum rubber outsole. Look for the Nike Air Presto “Safari” to drop this Saturday, March 5th.
Continuing on the huge success of their Tubular models, adidas introduces the next member of the family: Nova. Out to turn heads with their first drop, adidas chooses to dress the first in a single bright red tone. Also included in the drop is a black version of the model, contrasted with an off-white sole. adidas even included a strap on the heel for better support, while neoprene and suede make up the rest of the sneaker. Both models can now be picked up online and in-store at our Moreland Ave. location.
Featuring Nike Flyknit for the first time, this version of the hoops legend is the lightest ever, weighing 50% less than the original. The all-white version is just as beautiful as previous knitted Force’s, featuring a solo tone of white with just a hint of icey blue on the toe and heel. Look for this one to drop this Wednesday, March 16th.
Following her collection debut as part of New York Fashion Week, Rihanna presents her latest footwear collaboration with PUMA: the Fenty Trainer. Set to debut in three tonal offerings, the Fenty Trainer’s most noticeable feature is the height of the shoe, particularly the elongated tongue. Additional height is also seen on the back pull tabs of the shoe. The lacing of the shoe is a slip-on design as no laces appear on the shoe. The Puma stripe that appears on the side panels manages to blend in nicely with the rest of the shoe.
Peep the Rihanna x PUMA Fenty Trainer bellow and look for it to drop this weekend on February 27th online and in-store.
For this year’s Black History Month capsule, we collaborated with Atlanta based artist Markeidric (@Markeidric) to pay homage to four musicians: Ray Charles, James Brown, Otis Redding, and Gladys Knight. Taking inspiration from Mount Rushmore, we chose these four iconic Georgia musicians to be the faces on our own mountain of greatness. Through a t-shirt consisting of butter yellow and red graphic in resemblance of the Georgia clay, these musicians are recognized for sticking to its roots and cultivating music’s greatest sounds. The collection is now available here.
Canadian label Reigning Champ has enlisted the help of Japanese athletic brand ASICS for a new collaborative drop. The new partnership marks Reigning Champ’s second-ever sneaker release, arriving in the form of three GEL-Lyte III makeups. The footwear component is accompanied by a range of 15 tops and bottoms, all made in Canada with premium suede and mid-weight french terry. The details and colorways included in the forthcoming release are a thoughtful reflection of Reigning Champ’s core collection of apparel, which is based in navy blue, heather grey and black executions.
Since its debut in the hands of Public School’s Maxwell Osborne and Dao-Yi Chow, the Air Jordan 13-inspired Horizon has seen its make-ups limited to monochromatic executions, including black, “Gym Red” and “French Blue” colorways. For NBA All-Star Weekend in Toronto, Jordan Brand has gone in a completely different direction. Revisiting a patterned upper similar to that of the aforementioned Public School drop, the premium release opts for a decidedly more colorful palette as black, “Lucid Green” and “University Gold” combine with red and white on an intricate woven upper. Completing the look are leather piping, waxed cotton laces, and the Air Jordan 13′s signature paw-inspired sole unit.
Originally released in 1993, the Asics GEL-Kayano Trainer was designed and marketed for the serious high-mileage runner. They feature a leather and mesh upper with structural overlays, GEL cushioned sole, sock-like fit (instead of a traditional tongue), and a durable rubber outsole.
